PG County schools, crime, and politicians all have bad reputations but I'm still not voting for Hogan. |
She has already responded to the media and said that she is working with the appropriate entities to rectify the mistake. She'll pay off what she owes to DC and will work with MD to ensure the taxes are corrected. These types of errors are made regularly and so the Treasurers/Comptrollers have auditors to review and flag these. As long as the person corrects the situation once made aware of it, it's not a big deal. |
You're welcome to disagree on policy regarding immigration and not-legally-approved immigrants, but there isn't anything weird about someone supporting legally approved immigrants but not supporting funding and freedom to roam the USA for people who do not have a legal right to be here. If you can't understand and engage that honestly, no one will take your unserious opinions seriously. If you want the USA and it's States to be caretakers for all the world's suffering people, you need to propose or support a realistic plan, not "someone will pay for everything and it will be fine". |
A regular centrist Republican, with regular bipartisan level of self-sealing behavior, is now "lipstick on a Trump pig"? Do words have meaning anymore? |
Everything in this comment is a lie or deception, which shows the depravity of the anti-Alsobrooks camp. PG County police budget is far higher than MoCo. Homicides were under 150 in each of recent years. |
I agree. Anyone who has paid attention to national and Maryland local politics for the past 8 to 10 years knows that Hogan is as far from a Trump puppet Republican as there is on the GOP spectrum. I won't be voting for Hogan in his bid for a Senate seat but that has nothing to do with my personal views of his character and abilities as an executive or lawmaker. Character and abilities as an executive are the primary reasons l won't be voting for Trump. |

She is just as corrupt as the media was reporting she is.
|
So you are voting for the Democrat tax cheater? I suppose if a democrat cheats or breaks the law, that’s perfectly fine. |
You’re voting for Trump though. Right? |
A bit over-dramatic. Her grandparents moved out of the house into assisted living and she took over the mortgage without checking and realizing that they had a senior exemption that she did not correct. She is working with DC to correct the paperwork and pay back the difference. The second issue is that she moved to a bigger, more expensive house and did not transfer the homestead exemption from the lower-valued house to the higher-valued house. So, she overpaid taxes in MD. Neither of these is that unusual of an oversight. And neither one looks deliberate. Both look like honest mistakes that need to be corrected. |
| This seems reasonable, except she made at least FOUR different illegal "mistakes" that saved her a lot more money than it cost her. Funny, she is in charge of PG county tax collection. how does she not know the law? does she not do her job or is she hiding something (or both??!) |
I am the first PP above. I stand by my characterization of Hogan and my reasons for it, described above. We can agree to disagree. |
There is no justification for lying about whether a school system cooperating with authorities just to play to your base's hatred of undocumented immigrants. A school was literally getting mass shooting threats and he was trying to score.political points. He is a POS. |
I see you purposely overlooked my point that he bought non-working COVID test kits from Korea. |
What's Trump? Doesn't seem like you've minded him avoiding taxes. |
