The DCUM elitism nevers fails to amuse. Many in Berry Farms, Deanwood, Anacostia, Congress. I suppose you also don't know that there are cheap rentals in Crystal City where members of Congress live during the week with one or two others so that they have quick access to National Airport to return to their districts. |
In the DC government graft, grift and corruption are pervasive and color blind. And the fish rots from the head down. |
Ohhh, that might be a little too close to the bone for Arlington's Dehghani-Tafti. |
Who doesn't want more money? I mean she pulled it off probably knowing how the Dc government works; incompetent. I wonder how all of this came about. How did she manage her meetings. Being a Deputy Director, your daily duties consist of meetings to meetings for the most part. |
| Why in the world did she raise her profile by being on FCC council?? Doubt this would have made the news if she was just rando employee |
That was the really dumb move. She lied on the conflict of interest and financial disclosure forms for her position on the council. That now provides the Attorney of the Commonwealth the nexus to go after her. Tbh, she sounds like an insufferable striver. |
This. And actually having worked at DOB, I am really surprised she could do this. They are literally in meetings back to back most days. What exactly was she doing and how come her boss, the Director, did not pick up on this? |
| Dc Govt is pretty disorganized and stupid in these things. There are a lot of corruption in DC Givt |
| The shocking part is that DC allows its workers to work another job as long as they disclose and it doesn’t interfere — that explains why they never do anything other than steal trend checks. |
These weren't real jobs. Working for the government is basically sleepwalking. |
No, they don't. Not sure where you got this. They specifically don't. Not a full time job. |
No, the DOB was a part of the DCRA break up. |
I don’t see the problem either. She wasn’t fired for doing a poor job. In fact, she was promoted to deputy director. None of her employers said she was not performing well. I don’t care if you are doing 10 jobs as long as your are performing. |
But you specifically can’t do those other jobs when you are being paid to do a dc government job. She could do the other job at night but not at 2 pm on Tuesday when she is supposed to be working at DC. |
I ‘ve heard about Shirley because it was in the news. But how come Melanie K. couldn’t get the job the first couple of times? |
