The current DLCP Chief Administrative Officer is the daughter of the DLCP employee who was at the heart of the barber cosmetology scandal. Allegedly, she received notice her mother was going to be fired when she served as HR director, so she let her mom know to quit rather than get fired. The current DLCP director, Tiffany Crowe, chose to promote her to CAO from HR head, even knowing about this.

Last time I heard, it was Chelsy Briggs. Director Crowe chased off the much-beloved prior CAO, Eric Ampedu, who went to PG county government for essentially a demotion rather than continue his long and scandal-free DC career.

Sadly, I spoke to someone in the city. They said she was really good and the media hasn't told the full story. Unfortunately, you can't really respond to the media requests so they've let the story sit.
