Yeah, but it is mostly super healthy omega 3, unsaturated and polyunsaturated fats.

Wow that is some colossal stupidity right there.

Fiber feeds the tens of trillions of bacteria in the gut, which is the seat of human health. Fermentation of that fiber by those trillions of bacteria is how short chain fatty acids are produced- there is no other way to get SCFAs, no supplements or foods that provide them absent fiber.

Look at your own dentition - see all those broad flat surfaces that make up your teeth? They evolved for the regular consumption of fiber. You are a primate; the primary foods of primates are fiber rich.

Historically humans routinely consumed up to 100g plus of fiber daily. The current RDA is not even 1/3 that amount, and the average American is not coming anywhere close to meeting the RDA - most don’t even consume 1/3 of that RDA.

Low fiber diets cause chronic disease and ultimately early death. A healthy gut can process fiber with minimal gastrointestinal distress, once it has adjusted from eating the typical toxic sugar laden fatty sludge diet that most Americans are eating.

+1 All the blue zones eat a ton of fiber too.

Lol. The Blue Zones have been proven to be fake

?? There ARE areas where more people tend to live to 100+. That is not fake. I swear you’re the same weirdo who gets mad whenever anyone mentions being intentional with fiber intake. You have major beef with fiber for some bizarre reason.

No there are not. Those were proven to be not true. Those people were not as old as they were said to be

No, it hasn't. One person wrote essentially an opinion piece that was not at all peer reviewed, and media ran with it.

I take no position on the blue zones. But I do take issue with calling something "proven" false when it is based on basically nothing.

It has been proven false by many people, not just one. You have done absolutely no research. You are just spewing what you "know".
Those zones were shown to be fabricated by poor record keeping, pension fraud, just flat out lying and the entire thing was done for profit. The Blue Zone license is being sold to communities for millions. Fort Worth Texas is a Blue Zone simply because it bought the license. Hilarious

Bless your hearts.
I am happy with my 2/3 cup of processed cereal that has psyllium and bran. I would go crazy shopping and storing all those seeds and berries and stuff. Not to mention tracking.

I'm sure all the gas and power dumps have made things so much better. I am truly happy for the amazing impact that fiber has had on your life

I have oatmeal (or homemade oatmeal and apple muffin) and a full apple for breakfast with black coffee. We love Mexican food, so we often have black beans and salad at dinner (I cook from scratch five nights/week). I'll make a big bowl of fruit salad, too. Our teens love that! Oven-baked broccoli can be nice, and tasty, and a good source of fiber. I have yogurt or a handful of prunes at bedtime. Prunes are loaded with fiber.

I have low thyroid, so constipation is my constant friend. I find this routine helps me get enough fiber. But you also have to be care you don't get too much fiber if you aren't drinking gallons of water.

Funny thing- I did Google. Which is how I reached my conclusion that nothing has been "proven" false about blue zones.

I am a woman so not sure how your “power dump” comment correlates to my sex life. We don’t do anal. I rarely have gas.

This is the same for me. If I'm not eating enough fiber, things don't move along the way they should and I just feel bloated. Increasing my fiber has actually made me more regular, less bloated, and yes that leads to me feeling like sex a lot more. I've also found that increasing fiber has helped drastically with my skin issues. This includes my rosacea, eczema, and acne. My skin just feels so much more hydrated. I looked it up and I guess fiber consumption helps with short chain fatty acid production which can help improve your skin. It also helps increase good bacteria in your gut that can also play a role in skin health. Finally, I read it helps keep your body hydrated which also helps with skin health.
