Trump leading Biden in VA...What's going on?

Anonymous
Even when Virginia votes blue it’s purple and if the Democrats tack too far left it flips.

Biden has been around forever so there’s something for everyone to dislike when it comes to his policies. Also the local politicians in Arlington and Fairfax are far-left crazies, so that doesn’t help.

I’d say politicians like Kaine, Warner, and Beyer are still popular, but Biden gets held responsible for the worst of the party’s excesses. It doesn’t help that he’s senior and clearly well past his prime.

My brother, who follows these things much more closely than I do, said the polling is landline-based, and younger people don't have landlines, so large swaths of the population will not be polled. Personally, I am heartened by the fact that the hard right didn't make as much progress in India, France, Italy (?) this year, despite predictions.

Meloni? She’s FAR right. France was a strange turn of events, but Le Pen was very close other than last minute maneuvering and coalitions, but she has a lot of support.

Your flaming can't change my mind so don't even bother.

Well, kiss Democracy and our country as we know it goodbye. It was a nice run but,it will be over if he gets elected.

Here's what one democrat thinks about your pathetic likely candidate.

Emerson Polling released a poll showing Trump ahead by 2 points: https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4778304-donald-trump-joe-biden-virginia/

I live in Maryland (Frederick County) and I know Maryland is safe blue, although Frederick will probably go red this year due to it's conservative roots and the national political environment.

Anyone on the ground in VA know what's going on?

Are you dense? Have you seen Biden lately? He’s clearly diminished cognitively and physically, and doesn’t project strength at all.

I’m a Virginia right-leaning independent who voted for Biden in 2020, but I won’t in 2024 if he’s on the ballot.

So you, as a voter in the United States of America, see Trump as a better alternative than Biden? You took a look at the state of the world and the state of our country and Trump’s body of work and decided that you are going to vote for him? Quite literally the worst president to ever take office, that’s getting your vote?

That’s not what I said. I’m voting for neither. And don’t tell me that’s a vote for Trump. It isn’t, any more than it’s a vote for Biden. I’m tired of this two party sh!t.

Staying home means you think Trump is an acceptable outcome.

To paraphrase Trump, “I like people who don’t get shot at.”

Or that Biden and Trump are both unacceptable. Also, I’m not staying home.

Trump could win VA if the NoVA suburban voters don't vote. The Fairfax county school board just announced a major school redistricting policy that is very unpopular. School board foolishness in Loudoun caused low voter turnout for Ds and led to Youngkin.

Got it. You’re ok if Trump wins. That’s all we need to know.

Hahaha, it's not like sleepy Don is any better. How many times did he fall asleep during the convention or his trials? How many times has he suggested that we should look up to Hannibal Lecter? He's so confused, he has no idea what he's saying. Get all these grandpas out of the race and start fresh!

NoVa is also very diverse-it might be selection bias but I know back in the day, Arabs moved there, jewish people to MD and even now there are large immigrant communities in nova who will never vote for Biden b/c he's a racist who lies to their face. trump & vance's racism is blatant and they own it and thus those voters won't vote for either one. some might vote to see usha break that barrier though. Biden doesnt feel pain and anguish when he's sees mangled brown children's bodies and that bothers all brown people.

Sorry, your social media bubble might make it sound like the world revolves around a foreign conflict, but it's not a top 10 voter concern.
