Trump leading Biden in VA...What's going on?

Inflation: Many Virginians outside of the DCUM bubble are working 2 jobs (each adult) to pay the bills.

and you think Trump will stop Israel from bombing Gaza? You’re nuts!

I'm saying if people think both candidates will bomb Gaza no matter what, why go out and vote at all? There is NO WAY Biden (or probably Harris) will win Michigan because of this.

Seriously? You are basing your decision to vote on a regional conflict 5000 miles away from here?

Emerson Polling released a poll showing Trump ahead by 2 points: https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4778304-donald-trump-joe-biden-virginia/

I live in Maryland (Frederick County) and I know Maryland is safe blue, although Frederick will probably go red this year due to it's conservative roots and the national political environment.

Anyone on the ground in VA know what's going on?

Are you dense? Have you seen Biden lately? He’s clearly diminished cognitively and physically, and doesn’t project strength at all.

I’m a Virginia right-leaning independent who voted for Biden in 2020, but I won’t in 2024 if he’s on the ballot.

So you, as a voter in the United States of America, see Trump as a better alternative than Biden? You took a look at the state of the world and the state of our country and Trump’s body of work and decided that you are going to vote for him? Quite literally the worst president to ever take office, that’s getting your vote?

That’s not what I said. I’m voting for neither. And don’t tell me that’s a vote for Trump. It isn’t, any more than it’s a vote for Biden. I’m tired of this two party sh!t.

You're tired of it, so you're going to pretend that it doesn't exist? Solid plan.

I can't believe I have to say this to an ostensible adult, but wishing doesn't make it so. This is a choice between two people (and two ideologies, even more importantly). And because VA went for Biden last election, switching a vote for him to a vote for anyone else (or a non-vote) is the same as a half a vote for Trump.

Your position is the equivalent of a toddler having a tantrum because he doesn't like the choices offered. I have more respect for the right wing loonies than people like you - at least they are consistent, and have a belief. You are annoyed, so you are taking your ball and going home. Grow up.

A year later, SC Justice Brown told people that a good Democrat should pretend not to know what a woman is. This is simply too much for anyone who isn't far left. Add in Biden's dementia and that spells landslide on a national basis and close races where they shouldn't be close. Dems need to get our house in order by dropping these insane far-left ideas and the old man. It's too late for 2024 but we can roar back in 2028.

You should be careful what you wish for. Most non/third party voters remain apprehensive but are leaning towards Trump over Biden so you should take their abstention for a win.

But of course the Dems won’t do this but rather continue to bully, name call, and scold those who don’t 100% agree with them and just push them further towards voting for Trump.

Your flaming can't change my mind so don't even bother.

Well, kiss Democracy and our country as we know it goodbye. It was a nice run but,it will be over if he gets elected.

Here's what one democrat thinks about your pathetic likely candidate.

Tulsi Gabbard isn’t a Democrat.

She is officially independent, but was a one time Democrat candidate for president.
And what she said is spot on.

She’s my write-in vote. Previously all D, but Dems are simply too far left for me.

I am very liberal but I can’t vote for Biden in good conscience. He is clearly impaired.

I guess given Trump I will have to think hard. I would probably vote for a mannequin over Trump. But at the same time I think it would be reckless and irresponsible to elect Biden.

I’m a Virginian traditional republican and until now was a “never Trumper” and have voted for write ins in the last two elections. After the debate I’m now (grudgingly and tentatively) planning to vote for Trump this time.

You’re a typical lefty who can’t comprehend why everyone doesn’t think the way you do. I’m done holding my nose and voting for the lesser of two evils. It should never come to this, but here we are, with the two worst presidential candidates in history. You’re damn right I refuse to give either of them my vote.

So you would rather vote for a old con man, over a regular old guy. Got it.

I voted Dem from 1980 until 2016. In 2016 and 2020 I voted R for the first and second time in my life. Now I will do so for the 3d time.

That's what happened.

He won't win VA, but it will be close if Biden is on the ballot
