100,000 federal jobs shipped out of DC and reclassify 50,000 civil servants.

Anything back office should be sent out of DC: 99% of IRS, HHS, VA, DoD - A lot of that stuff can be done (and is) in the suburbs of Des Moines, KC, Omaha, Syracuse, Columbus, etc.

99% of HHS and VA are not back office. It's not going to be simple to destroy all the clinic and hospital space and move it to the Midwest.

This is what I'm more worried about. And having a political crony supervise me who doesn't know what they are doing.

This is going to be beautiful.

If you aren’t a 14 year old troll, I feel so bad for you. Imagine being such a loser that the thought of someone’s misfortune makes you so giddy. And the impact it will have on everyone and I mean everyone’s life. But like a PP said-at least you would have owned the libs in the process. Every industry in this area relies on the fed govt. Including and especially tech.

People do not understand that this will affect them too. If you have no regulations you better have a perfect health because your medicine isn’t going to be safe. You better grow your own food, because food won’t be safe, etc.

Ultimately things will work out. Out bloated government needs a purge. Our society needs a wake up call that they are on their own.

My God how do you people function? It won't just "work out." Read a history book and see how things "worked out" before we had agencies regulating industries like food and medicine. Rotten meat, paint in your food, bugs, rats, etc. Companies pursue profits above all else. That's how capitalism works. Without guardrails, they will happily kill people for profit. That's how it will "work out."

+1 I lived in multiple countries overseas that did not follow any kind of “regulation” and it showed. Hotels would dump their garbage over the wall, buildings went unfinished (topped with exposed rebar), and you had to throw your soiled toilet tissue in the trash instead of the toilet (seeing poop or blood-smeared tissue sitting on top of the trash is nasty). Nobody obeyed any sort of law to protect the disabled, so people in wheelchairs couldn’t exit their buildings when people blocked the ramps; in some cases, ramps were simply a set of stairs that had been paved over, so they were very steep (I couldn’t get a stroller down one without slipping). None of the water was potable.

That doesn’t change the fact we could cut the fed jobs in half and trim the fat of useless SES and higher level management.

Then recommend specific cuts. Just mandating a number and forcing those who remain to "pick up the slack" doesn't cut it.

Not to mention the government is already saddled with a ton of unfunded mandates.

How are you going to pick which things are simply not going to be done anymore, despite there being laws mandating that they get done? And how are you going to deal with the onslaught of inevitable lawsuits which the government WILL lose regarding those things that aren't getting done?

What will we do with 100,000 less paper shufflers and bureaucrats?

Will dogs and cats be living together?

I know many people who work for the federal government b/c they believe in serving their country. I know that seems crazy to you.

LOL yes dear the regulatory system that keeps your food and water and air clean doesn’t need actual employees.

The system is being dismantled but by the time we see the full consequences it will be too late.

Look at the state of the food we consume here and tell me they are doing a good job. Might as well gut these corrupt bureaucrats and career do nothings.

That is because we give so much power to corporations here. It's not because the FDA wants to do that. Read Salt Sugar Fat. It's terrifying. I have my master's in public policy and what we learned was that for every regulation we have, there is a reason. Corporations completely took advantage of people.

There's too many of them. Too much bloat. Our tax system can"t afford them anymore.

Time for some of them to go into private industry. Fed.gov should not be a jobs program.

Uh, you know there are IRS service centers all over the country, mostly Lousiville, Kansas, Utah - that is where MOST of the IRS emplyees work. Not in DC.

Same is true for other agencies as well.

Relatively few Feds actually work in DC or the DMV.

People actually want to help their fellow citizens. But if our fellow citizens elect a traitor to tell us to f*** off, then it will be my pleasure to make a whole lot more money.

It's easy to find these statistics, and it's obvious this stance is not about actually moving feds to other states, it's about eliminating as much industry oversight as possible.

I hope to see them all purged.
