What is Bucky's?

I think they mean Buc-ee's:

https://buc-ees.com/

There is one opening next year in southern VA, about a 90 min drive from DC. Peopel will be making the sojourn there.

Oh, the really big gas station? What's the appeal? I feel like I know people who have complained about getting their credit card numbers stolen there...

Buc-ees has over 100 gas pumps at some locations. Also heard the average customer spends 30 minutes there and that their BBQ is great. Known for really clean bathrooms. Their saying is “potty like a rock star.”

You must be a tea drinker as Starbucks coffee is great, but strong.

It is neither great nor strong. I brew my own at home and it’s 100 times better.

+1. Their roast beef sandwiches have no equal, especially fast food.

This DCUM thread made me realize that it is not just my problem, so I deleted their app from my phone and stopped going there::

Same. My whole family gets the runs. I think quality has gone downhill.

Founding Farmers, they are still adding a a surcharge to your bill. And the food isn’t even that good anymore. Portions are aoooo small.

Better new money than a no money poseur on dcum getting little dopamine hits by living in an “old money” fantasy world constructed in their head.

Lululemon. I think they cut ties with their founder, but the brand gives me an ick feeling.

McDonald’s. It used to taste so good when I was a kid but now it’s just sad and gross. It’s not worth the cost or the calories.

Oh, I’m not pretending to be old money. I just realize, like most people, that anyone who covers themselves in logos like LV and Chanel are trashy strivers.

I hold dumb grudges.

I won't shop at Aveda because years ago I paid for some stupid loyalty card and they said it was good for life but then when I went too long without using it they said it was expired. Never forgave them.

Before Leslie Cakes closed I boycotted them because on DCUM I learned they were hostile to breastfeeding women.
