A doggy daycare/boarding place would do really well there. |
| I thought I heard Wegmans was considering it—now that would be amazing. But if not that, another decent grocery store would be great. I just hope it’s not a pointless bank. |

I disagree that plaza does a good morning and lunch time business the CVS is mostly busy. The BGR has my favorite Burger!!!
The owner of the stip mall won’t let it sit long. It could use a facelift like Chesterbrook. The apartments are location location location. I don’t believe it’s true that people are moving away from Clarendon. The rents and housing prices are still very high. |
…like it needs a hole in the head. Which is basically the same thing. |
| I vote for a South Block or a good Indian restaurant. |
| Lidl, Aldi, or TJs would make sense there -- and probably would be more profitable for the shopping center owner. |
| Perfect place for a title loan store |
Or both! It's a big space. |
Lidl would be perfect but theres one in Mclean so fairly close. |
Exactly. Or a vape shop or 7-11. That seems to be what we get in Arlington. |
There’s a TJ half a mile away in Clarendon. |
Agree with all of this. People aren't moving away from Clarendon- they keep building high-rises all along the R-B Corridor and people are moving in. In fact there is a proposal to build a luxury high-rise apartment building right across the street from this location. I have no idea of the timeframe but something will go in this space. Eventually this parcel will be redeveloped but it's doubtful it would happen anytime soon with all the stormwater management issues at that site. |
| There is supposed to be a big storm water management “facility” built where the pawn shop is now located. It might divert enough water from Spout Run the the shopping center across the street can be redeveloped. |
