Yeah. It was terrible 25 years ago. No big loss. It’s not a big draw. |
LOL no. Clearly you haven’t spent any time there or know anyone who does. It’s not a draw. |
| A grocery store is always considered The Anchor, whether it's on your mind to go in or not. |

Wishful thinking- but would love to see a shopping center makeover with a mini Wegman’s!
Lidl or Aldi seems more realistic. I could also see it sitting empty for many years. |
| I heard they were going to use the space as a |
This. Plan Langston is lobbying to tear it all down, put in apartments with ground retail and a parking garage. No one will want to invest to be booted 5 years down the road for “smart growth”. |
Yep, as a “blank space” is on the nose. |
| ^^ a what!?! You can’t leave me hangin’! |
Same! It's not because I'm too good for Giant, it's because I'm closer to another Giant so I only drive there for The Italian Store |
I sure hope so |
| Any chance to accelerate the PLB plan to rip off the bandaid. |

Would the apartments at LV Shopping be low income?

It might be considered “An Anchor” by People Who Aren’t Familiar With The Area, but it’s truly not what draws 90% of the people to the center. Go sit in the parking lot one day if you don’t believe me. The CVS and Starbucks each get 2x the traffic - easily, probably more. Right off the bat you can even see where it’s difficult to find a parking spot. The ones in front of Giant are often empty. A small, decent market would do very well there. |
| I’ve been in that Giant many times, but only because I was already there for the CVS or Italian store. I never went solely for the Giant. |
Ok? The giant is closed now so yeah 2x the traffic. During the day a LOT of retirees shopped there. landlord will need to cover the lost rent so expect existing tenants to get the screws |
