Bikini at 49

Anonymous
For the men who don’t like it, there are countries where women swim in burkinis. Please feel free to move there.

After plenty of trips to beaches in Denmark, the south of France and the Caribbean I’m, at 44, very comfortable in a bikini or less. Things are very different in the DMV but that’s life.

Absolutely wear whatever you want. Own it and enjoy it. Haters gonna hate, hate, hate.

She’s thinking whore…

NP. This comment doesn’t make any sense, on multiple levels.

Ladies - Guy here and just being honest, nobody wants to see Mee-maws running around in bikinis. They just don't.

I am self-aware enough to know that nobody wants to see the Pee-paws running round topless either so I wear a sun shirt or rash guard as well.

Don't shoot the messenger here - just keeping it real.

Well we don't want to see old white dudes balding and bellies either.

OP you do you this person is an ass.

No, not an ass - just the messenger of TRUTH and sanity here. And - I agree with you about the old dudes (white, black, brown, whatever) - nobody wants to see that either which is why I, as I said, where a sun shirt/rash guard!

What's good for the goose is good for the gander! Cover up old people!

I'm nearly 60 and don't GAF what anyone thinks. I wear what I am comfortable in, which is a pair of surf shorts and a bikini top.

What is considered a bikini to women over 40? I think a 2 piece suit with high wasted bottoms and top depends on breast size is ok.

Bottoms with a low cut and thong look awful on older women. It doesn’t matter what size you are it’s the gravity taking place. A lot of celebrities over 40 or 50 wear them and they are fit but their stomaches always seem loose with extra skin around the belly button. And the butt is not the same as 25 years ago even with consistent exercise and weight.

There are plenty of two piece suits flattering to older women. But skip the skimpy ones.

I am a size zero at 45 (three kids, 5'5" 100lbs 32DD) and will wear one forever. My Mom is over 70 and wears one to the beach and still bodysurfs/swims in the ocean.

Yuck!

...psst...your jealousy is showing...

BETTER THAN MY RIBS SHOWING NEXT TO MY FAKE ASZ TATAS WHILE IN A BIKINI NEXT TO MY CHILDREN

Umm, I am 46, 5'5", 110 lbs 32H, nothing fake.

lol, 32H isn’t fake, right.

That’s a burden to be so large. I believe there’s nothing fake.

I would wear one if I had the body for it.

I have a friend who is late 50s and wears a bikini, she is 6' and about 250. It looks pretty bad, but she doesn't care.

It's not like I think there should be a law against it though.

We moved here a year ago and at 43 I stopped wearing a bikini at the club we joined because I got a lot of unwanted attention. I’m very fit and toned and I give some credit to good genes and I was surprised by the reaction. We are heading to the Caribbean for spring break and my bikinis are coming with me.

+1 exactly why we vacation in south of France and are building retirement house there.

NP. I'm 56 and a 32H-- large rack but small rib cage. We do exist! (not a bikini wearer myself, though)

Wear one if you want Op but you don't have the body for it.
