Correct.

But rule is that generally teams that have MLS Next are told to put their girls in GA.

Rule based on? There are plenty of GA clubs with ECNL Boys, also plenty with MLS Next. I know there is a push from ECNL to flip boys out of MLS Next, but there are zero cases (so far ill admit) of any ECNL club flipping to GA...not a single one in 4 years.

People can claims ifs, and buts all they want but there just isn't a precedent, and how as a club do you force your girls into a league thats losing its top clubs every year to ECNL?

As it stands no girls ECNL teams have jumped to GA, they have no reason to.

Teams that have girls in ECNL and boys in mls next are probably going to keep girls in ECNL because ECNL would rather not lose both.

ECNL has bent their own rules to allow this to happen.

What will most likely happen is that now, under US Soccer, GA teams will have access to better resources (ynt/nswl) and ECNL clubs will have to decide whether it’s best for them to stay in ECNL or jump to mls next/ga platform.

if the YNT compromises and doesn't pick from the top 50 clubs that are (or will be soon) in ECNL they will be unemployed scouts/coaches soon. Even when the DA had (almost) everyone in year 1.. there were still a lot of ECNL call ins, it has to be the best players regardless of league.

A big chuck of the best ecnl clubs are old DA clubs anyways lol so we’ll see what they do in near future.

And most of them were ECNL before they were DA.

When US Soccer ran DA, their own league they provided NOTHING to the clubs.

MLSNext exists because the MLS Academies were planning to leave DA because US Soccer had lots of demands and requirements but provided zero resources.

It is part of the reason DA folded.

I don’t know what US Soccer’s plan is now but I wouldn’t count on GA being the one stop shop for US Soccer. Hell, even with DA US Soccer was still recruiting heavily from ECNL and US Scouts are still all over ECNL sidelines.

I’d pump the breaks in drawing any lofty conclusions.

Funny how the two posters on X don’t care to comment any further about both topixs

What’s to comment on?

They claimed GA clubs are leaving and when ECNL announces new clubs, which typically happen in March, then we’ll all know if they were right or not.

Rumors of SYC were floated a couple of weeks ahead of GA confirming. How is this different?

Several different sources with the same veracity of SYC are already claiming the Ukrainian Nationals leaving GA for ECNL.

The names that keep popping up are NEFC, Nationals and the Internationals.

TopHat seem to be denied as leaving by several different sources.

If these rumors turn out to be true, I’m sorry, but nothing short of fully funded NWSL/US Soccer Academies will save GA.

US Soccer had its chance and they turned their back and burned those who believed in and followed them. Good luck believing “this time” will be different.

Internationals are an ECNL team already.

NEFC has the same amount of heat applied as tophat does. Only difference is Tophat already has boys in ECNL, NEFC has them in mls next. Big no no.

GA will be fine. They will just continue to promise their big clubs talent IDs and that’s all the clubs want.

All those “sources” are regurgitating the same BS in multiple forums.

The only teams to have some real movement are

Ukies, Nationals, and NEFC (not sure how).

The rest, people are making up due to the OP saying (top 10 big clubs in GA).

What is your source for Ukies, Nationals, and NEFC going to ECNL?

I haven't seen anything official yet.

The only thing official I've seen is US Soccer's promotion of GA

There is no real source.

It is also a fact that the president of Nwsl was at the meeting where GA was voted in..

If that tells you anything.

It was at the US Soccer AGM so of course she was 🤦‍♂️

People who are required to be present due to positional obligations tend to show up to those requirements
