MLS, MLS NEXT, NWSL, NISA are all apart of US SOCCER.

ECNL is not part of US Soccer.
GA just gained full membership to US Soccer.

Remember when people were saying the NWSL was trying to create academies like MLS NEXT…

Well now GA is their option.

Do say San Diego Wave wants to be connected to SD Surf ECNL… they can’t. SD Surf would have to switch to GA..

But US Club Soccer is a part? And isn't ECNL sanctioned by them?

SD Surf has a puppet club called SDSC (San Diego Soccer Club) that plays in GA.

Don't worry they're covered.

US SOCCER not to be confused with US CLUB soccer

For sure, just wondering how it's different if in fact GA is now a full member and if ECNL is not? But is it any different that it seems like US Club is the sanctioning body for ECNL and is a member of US Soccer?

Wouldn't matter to me either way as I find ECNL and US Clubs business practices pretty scummy. But I am curious is this new distinction is meaningful.
