Sure, the positions will all get filled. But who will fill them all?

Time will tell. Unless you're hosting a betting site?

Any others? I think they have to announce by early March to keep their full leave payout.

It's possible a good number of the current acting principals who've been leading their schools since last summer will get named to the permanent positions.

Is that a good thing in all of those schools?! Many of the actings were pulled and placed before their internship commenced. The internship is a more supported process. As an acting - tag you are it - with fewer check ins and support. I truly hope it ends up well. The system is struggling as a whole so we need individual schools to win and thrive even if the system is not.

+1
That part.
I think people take it for granted that teachers, principals, etc are easily replaced hence the negative treatment often seen on the board. Let this be a wake up call - there is a shortage!! Educators (teachers, principals, etc) are leaving in droves. Treat yours with respect, even when you disagree. Otherwise, when they are gone you may celebrate at first but then when you experience the replacement, it may not be as good.as what you had and didn't appreciate! I am speaking from experience! 😪

Really? We see how well all those check ins worked for Beidleman. There are so many people in CO in acting positions it wouldn’t make much of a difference because the people overseeing principals are also learning (and vying to keep) their new job as well.

As of yesterday they have finally advertised the positions for chief of schools, multiple associate superintendents, and multiple directors in OSSWB.

Or for Deputy Superintendent. Hopefully, these acting positions will be part of a truly fair hiring process and not just handed to the current favorites.

That would be run by an outside firm, not HR.

That outside (inside) firm will likely be Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, of which the current acting chief of staff Henry Johnson is an associate.

Yes, that is correct. It still been announced A nationwide search has to be publicly announced, that they are starting the process, and that has not been done. It's a long process. Do they plan to keep the acting on board for more than 4 months?

It's probably best to let the new permanent superintendent hire their own deputy.

The acting chief of schools is now Peter Moran, and Sean McGee is now acting associate superintendent, in Moran's former role.
