| I'm intrigued by Mrs. Heifetz’s transfer, from Supervisor, Department of Special Education Services, Office of Special Education, Office of the Chief Academic Officer to the principal of Ritchie Park Elementary School. She was one of the MVA deans, actually, so maybe the CO position was part of a holding pattern. I feel for Ritchie Park, though. They are in for some interesting times. |

For new principal vacancies like these, does anyone know who at MCPS we can contact to get more information regarding next steps for finding a new principal? |

You should be getting a community message from your school's director or associate superintendent about next steps. Or they may just go ahead and appoint an acting principal, given the timing. |

| The Fields Road principal position was just posted, so maybe they are trying to get a permanent principal appointed before school starts. Next BOE meeting is 8/20. |
