Yeah, I don't want to raise my teen here. I want her to go out and have fun. Not live in a prison. This is unspeakably sad. Maybe we need to organize a protest and call attention to looking for his killers, and what's going on in general? Isn't that what we need to do? |

I can’t stop thinking about this young man. He sounds like an incredible human being, following in the footsteps of the Franciscans to serve those in need. What a senseless, heartbreaking loss. |
Wow, I didn't realize that was his motivation. What a good human. Unfortunately, people who serve in at-risk communities put themselves at risk often times. I say this as someone who did similar work years ago. It's gotten to danger levels I've never seen though. I think these agencies should shutter in protest, that would send a message to the politicians if they all closed the doors and put up an explanatory sign. Much like the restaurants that are saying that staying open in DC has become unworkable for them. They need to put their employees first--they did not sign up to be Marines and they don't have the training or weapons. His poor family. Where are the protests in which the community organizers pour into the streets, the hands up don't shoot? |
He is white. The community organizers don't care. And chances are his race played a part in why he was targeted and attacked. |

Such a misleading thread title!
|
That's why these non profits should shutter. "If you don't care, we don't care". Obviously they do care, but when their volunteers are being gunned down - you have to take a stand . |
Did the dog die? How horrible! |
Can we not have either? |
Yes, the dog had to be euthanized. |
Care ? Not punish him? He’s clearly dangerous and should be locked up. He’s killing ANIMALS. Treat him the same way he treats them. Scum. Get out of here. |
