A walking stick or a baton would be better for this purpose. (Batons are legal in Virginia but not in DC.)

How do you protect yourself in DC?

I carry an unlicensed pistol I purchased illegally from a kid I know. No connection to me, I’ll shoot, scoot, and dump the piece. Closure rate in DC is so bad the odds are definitely in my favor.

Always wear a DC sports team ballcap pulled low and wear a surgical mask as well.

We don't. We just blame society and root causes

I think at this point all masks should be outlawed unless you have a doctors note, are ON an exposed vehicle (bicycle, scooter, etc) or are on a ski slope. They are just tools for crime now. Who needs a balaclava to walk to the store in DC, or drive a car around?

Hahaha. The Covid weenies and the anti-gun weenies just wailing each other over masks.

Carry a small propane torch and striker.

Close your eyes and think of England.

Most guys think of the Roman Empire.

This is a good account to follow for crazy stuff happening around the city right now. It is literally crazy downtown right now. Robberies every night. Fatal shootings every night. Group of 3 just stuck up in DuPont last night. Wouldn’t suggest being downtown past 10pm these days

That's depressing. People live there and see this daily. They see the lawlessness and powerlessness. So sad.

The British Isle was part of Rome. Half of it anyway. See Hadrian's Wall.
