Me too but I actually know how to use the do not disturb feature on my phone. It's really great. You should give it a try.

The whining here is amazing. You’re grown adults. Start acting like it. No wonder the kids are such messes this year if this is what home life is like. Time to grow up.

I agree. Let's set examples of resilience for our children.

I guess teachers do sleep

That is a selfish thing to do.

Maybe you accidentally favorited MCPS.

Did anyone figure out how to change their notification settings on the MCPS side?

It's on the website on the page next to the one that lists the magnet selection criteria.

The entitlement and selfishness on display in this thread is nauseating. No wonder so much of our community is in the gutter.

I'm so confused. You're a teacher....and you're complaining that MCPS called to let you know there was a two-hour delay? Don't you think that's pertinent information for you to know? And wouldn't you have had to wake up shortly after 5:30 to get ready for a normal workday?

Anonymous wrote:OP has a valid complaint here. They don’t usually call for weather delays. I haven’t signed up for phone calls for weather delays and don’t usually receive them. This time my home, cell and work phone rang simultaneously as did my husband and son’s. Fortunately all cells were on do not disturb so I don’t have any major complaints except that this isn’t the usual protocol.

No. OP is an idiot.

+1

Why are some of you so nasty? There are so many devices and methods, and sometimes they don’t work as we think. There are better ways to share your thoughts.

I agree. No need to post that for all to see.

If OP would care to share her number, I'd happily text (not call!) her to tell her that she is an idiot.

You had me there for a second.

That definitely seems like a you problem. I was asleep by 10, had all my work done, and was not woken up by a phone call because I know how to use do not disturb.

Go I to your recent calls and block and report their number. The chances you hear about an actual emergency from MCPS are nill. You would receive a call from your local school if something happened there
