Why are people in MD so rude?

I mean DCUM is mostly comprised of marylanders and they all hate on

1) younger looking women than them
2) Virginia
3) Dogs
4) DC natives
5) Non rich people
6) Non Liberals
7) Advocate liberalism but fear their local school will be rezoned to a "worse" school.

DCUM is mostly comprised of Marylanders? Since when?

If people in general are hating on Virginians it's just because they tend to be whiny and truly are the worst drivers on the planet. It's a bad combo

Also to add- most NATIVE Marylanders who grew up very close in to DC (think Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Takoma Park, Silver Spring, etc) basically consider themselves DC natives, so why on earth would they hate on them? If there's one thing DC natives (including from the very close parts of Maryland and Nova) can agree on, it's detesting the transplants who move to the area. No one who grew up in this region, and this would include people from even the far out exurbs, would hate on DC natives. If anything all of them feel unified against transplants!

As someone from a totally different state who has lived in six different states, and local areas including Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, McLean, and Vienna, I can assure you that the state of Maryland is a piece of trash in about 20 different ways compared to Virginia. I say this as someone who is willing to commute from NoVA to Maryland for work just to avoid living in the state

That's funny. I've lived half my life in Virginia, and about 5 years in MD. Aside from people not being as friendly, it's much of a muchness. Same congestion, same bad driving, same entitlement.

The fact that they would even try to lie and claim Maryland drivers are so awful is pretty farcical considering the data.

A Maryland driver always thinks our virginia roads are a Nascar track. You see any trouble in our local malls with a getaway driver it's always someone with maryland plates.

It's because you don't have speed cameras. When we usually drive in MD or DC, it's freeing (and cheaper) to let loose in VA.

Where we live inside the beltway and, it is Va drivers who routinely blow through stop signs, tail gate and cut off others when people are mostly politely merging lanes …
