His parents gave interviews and the principal ans the mayor tweeted his picture with the principal saying "make it go viral ." A student who claims to be a friend of the student who assaulted him has also been on social.media giving his side and details. |
| The student in question has been on social media talking about, too. I think it's great he's speaking up for himself. |
That’s a great after school special you’re writing there. It’s too bad Hollywood is on strike or that could be in Lifetime in a few weeks. |
Agree. It was horrific that the principal posted a picture of the student. Mcps should not be posting pictures like that. It shocks me when staff have no boundaries. I don’t care what was said. An assault like that was not ok. And where were the adults? |
| Basically, the principal is only worried about the optics…couldn’t care less about the school except if it concerns football. |
And his father has been talking to the media as well. |
Just mind baffling how she turned around a hallway attack into a PR move at a football game. |
Not ok as well. |
Exactly. |
After watching the initial video where the student stopped the attack I actually came away with a good feeling about the school. But that feeling was completely reversed after that PR stunt. I feel like he was victimized again. And by the people charged with taking care of him |
That's not how the transitive property works. Venezuelans are people. Some people walk on the moon. Therefore some Venezuelans walk on the moon? |
You know who else has trouble regulating emotions? Anyone who throws a punch for non-profit motive or in pursuit of a rational goal. Plenty of people are in prison or dead because their parents weren't rich enough to get them a diagnosis before the police got to them first. Having a specific diagnosis doesn't mean that no one without a specific diagnosis has mental issues, nor is it a justification to start a fight. |
It's OK in USA where individuals have fundamental rights. |

Does show one kid charging at the other, who is backed against the wall, and multiple kids are pulling the attacker away. At the start of the video, the defender doesn't look hurt yet (but it's not clear) It's much better than the cases where kids stand around in a circle while someone(s) is getting hit. |
"Legal" and "OK" are very different things. |
