This right here is why OP. So many idiots that think like this. This person has never had an independent thought in their life. |

If you are in the left lane and not actively passing and no one is behind you, that is a violation. If the person behind you is doing 80, you are still in violation for travelling in the left lane. |
Not true. In the DMV the left lane is basically always faster than the right lane, so you are indeed continually passing even when "just" going at the speed limit. Take your reckless road rage somewhere else. |
I prefer to avoid 270 and the beltway on my free time! But even early or late when traffic is lighter, I've never seen an empty left lane. |
Certainly not in VA. That’s the default driving lane. |
You are behaving way more emotionally than the PP. Just stay right, pass left, and stop trying to play highway vigilante. You’re going to get someone killed by ignoring the rules of the road. |
No, the right lane is the default lane. You start there. If you need to pass someone, you do it quickly, and then move back over. You were really never taught this? Where did you learn to drive? |
This does not happen unless traffic is very heavy, which is not the situation we’re discussing at all. |
The funny thing is how you invoke a traffic rule (left lane passing) just so that you can break even more traffic rules yourself (reckless felony speeding). I will just go the speed limit and do my part to keep ALL of us safe. But please do go see a therapist about that incel road rage. |
The entire point of this thread is that the left lane is not “basically always faster than the right lane,” because of the drivers who have displayed their selfish idiocy earlier in the thread. |
The only one enraging people, and increasing the risk of violence are hall monitors like you. I move over and let the idiots drive as fast as they want. My life is more important than to play road block. They get theirs in the end. I saw some idiot get pulled over just a few minutes ago. The cops are out today! |
| The problem in the DMV is not that we have too many law-abiding drivers who observe the speed limit, but rather that we have too many reckless idiots who want to re-create an action scene from "Fast & Furious." |
Please don't text and drive on the freeway |
DP here. In most (all?) states, using the left lane not to pass is considered aggressive driving, punishable by fines. |
