But high BP. High cholesterol, diabetes and all of the other problems that come with being obese are? We know there are risks involved. You’d have to be an idiot to assume that we are so dumb as to not know that there are risks with everything you put in your body. Including food!!!! |
I know, right. But they are just so worried for us!! Puhhhleassee |
It’s incredibly pathetic. I wonder what happened to these people in their lives that they became this. |
Sure we do. The vast majority of Ozempic/Wegovy patients who are taking it for weight loss are obese and therefore on the same spectrum of insulin resistance and metabolic disorder as diabetics, just not as far progressed. Drugs in this class have been on the market for nearly 20 years. Stop fear-mongering. |
My husband and his family are so thin. They eat so much. He got lucky with genes. |
Good for you! And you don’t have to tell a soul if you don’t want. Screw everyone |
Amen!!!! So over the shaming campaign |
This. I have a kid with ADD and I will never truly understand how his brain is wired and you’ll never understand how mine is wired. I have a biologic dysfunction affecting several systems and Mounjaro helps regulate my dysfunction. The shamers can stay on their moral high ground if it makes them feel worthy and validated. I’ll keep getting healthier and happier. |
I thought it was fascinating when studies showing thin people who got fecal transplants from heavier people got heavy. Shows that so much of this is biologically driven. |
I have no problem with anyone taking Ozempic to lose weight. But for the love of God, please stop telling us you lost 75 pounds this last month doing yoga. Please, please stop.
It's ok to admit you have to take drugs to deal with your disorder. It's OKAY. |
This is the fifth time you’ve said the same hyperbolic thing. Do you have an example of any saying any of this? The answer is probably no. Because it doesn’t exist. |
Im on Ozempic and this is truly the first time in my life I havent been controlled by food. I have always thought about food all of the time. What Im eating next, when Im eating. What I can eat to meet whatever calorie goal Im shooting for. I have been binging since elementary school. There was never a feeling of “full”. Diet pills of diff kinds would keep me from eating when I wanted to lose weight, but the obsession w food was always there.
But now, that noise is all gone. I can look at food as more of a bystander vs an addict and make healthy decisions. I can eat a normal amount and get full. I can (for example) eat one piece of candy vs the whole bag. It is seriously life-changing and I envy those of you have never had a problem with food, and this think fat people just need to have willpower/not eat too much. |
Who is even taking about this IRL? I could not care less how/why someone lost weight and I don’t ask and don’t want to hear about it. Why do you think thin people care how you lost weight? We don’t |
Ok, do you not notice, with your eyes, your friend who has been fat for several decades, and now has lost 160 pounds??? |
Sometimes, sometimes not. Either way, I don’t inquire about it, and don’t care to know. It isn’t my business if they lost weight due to a drug, diet, cancer, stress, a bypass. |
