Um, mental health is likely a gigantic factor in why any human being would mass murder strangers in cold blood and die suicide by cop.

And many people don't have access to therapists and psychiatrists covered by insurance. Lack of mental health access is a huge problem in the U.S. I know people in that part of the insurance industry.

So why dont the Rs require mental health coverage? Or incentivize academic training? Or repay loans of mental health professionals?

Shall I go on?

I think it was him I heard on CNN yesterday. I was at work and could only listen so I didn’t see him and I missed his name, but I’m pretty sure I heard her call him congressman. When the interviewer pushed back on the idea that we need more prayers and need to address the problem now, I lost all hope at his response. She said something like, what about people who think prayers aren’t doing enough, and his response was something like they don’t trust god enough. It was ridiculous and I can’t find the quote. Basically they aren’t praying hard enough or believing hard enough, so of course it’s going to keep happening. We’re never going to see change if these are the people in charge.

Thanks. I think I was searching too soon after the interview and clips hadn’t been posted yet. It was as bad as I thought. I was hoping I had misremembered or misunderstood what he said.

Stop voting for these jackasses!

For some reason the R’s aren’t afraid. African Americans aren’t afraid. Hispanics aren’t afraid. Asians haven’t piped up.

They have perspective.

Mentally ill white liberals who are fascists need the population un-armed before they can move on their atheist, sick agenda.

And let’s put those 12yo kids back to work while we’re at it. They’ve been coasting on their parents’ generosity long enough. Time for them to earn some money to start buying guns.

How long has it been since you've left your basement bunker? There's still time in the day to take a nice walk outside or do a bit of gardening. Both will do more for your mental health than posting anonymously on this forum.

Also, for fun: Look up "buy AR 15" on Google. Some amazing Spring sales!

“The gunman who opened fire on an outlet mall in a Dallas suburb Saturday, killing at least eight people, was a man in his early 30s who may have had white supremacist or neo-Nazi beliefs, people familiar with the investigation said Sunday.

They said a patch the gunman was wearing on his chest at the time of the shooting suggested the potential white supremacist leanings. Authorities have not released a motive.”

Excellent. So can we agree not to vote for politicians that reduce/eliminate/refuse to expand mental health coverage?

I would say that these reporters need to get better sources. Seems these "people familiar with the investigation" are pushing a narrative.
Mauricio Martinez Garcia a white supremacist?

Shooter was Mauricio Garcia who may have been a white supremacist. He was also a security guard, although it hasn’t been confirmed where.

That’s an interesting nuance: a Hispanic white nationalist with parents who don’t speak English and required a translator.

Have they released demographics on the victims yet?

Black? Asian?

I'm not a 1 issue voter, or a 1 party voter. And I don't just do nothing about causes important to me then complain on Anonymous forums. If expanding access to mental health care is important to you, activate. Start a group, a movement. Reach out to your current elected officials, the media. Almost nothing is impossible. It can take years though.
