We didn't receive a handwritten note from the "top 3" (though we didn't apply to all of them - just a few). I'd take it as a good sign.

You only applied to a few of the Top 3?

OK.

Yup, ok! (you sound pleasant IRL)

I'm not that PP but obviously they are trying to say they applied to 2/3.

We only received the stock "check Ravenna on Friday" email from GDS. Crickets from other schools. Also ready for tomorrow over here!

WOW! That is a wildly good sign. They WANT YOU!

This is 100 percent a fantastic sign. The means they are now courting YOU instead of the other way around!

Just policy and manners. We received 2 thanks for interest notes one from admissions and one from student of school this week. Very typical and is part of process. Hold tight OP you will hear when we all do tomorrow. I was curious anyone sends mail. Three schools have not sent even an email and it was nice to get snail mail. Makes me like school more. Good luck every one. Remember all the kids are awesome.

What do you tell acquaintances, friends, and neighbors when they ask?

This is deflating. We applied to the "Big 5" and haven't received a single "thanks for interest" note. :/

Notes from some but not all. Accepted at each. Friends got notes at the schools we got notes from and were not accepted (or were). Others didn't get notes at the ones we didn't get notes from and were not accepted (or were). I think this is more a function of each school's policies and process than a "hint" at what the result will be. Been through this twice at the HS level and once for college. Decisions are tomorrow for DC area independents for the most part. Just hang tight. Things have a way of working out.
