This is deflating. We applied to the "Big 5" and haven't received a single "thanks for interest" note. :/[/quote]

Notes from some but not all.  Accepted at each.  Friends got notes at the schools we got notes from and were not accepted (or were).  Others didn't get notes at the ones we didn't get notes from and were not accepted (or were).  I think this is more a function of each school's policies and process than a "hint" at what the result will be.  Been through this twice at the HS level and once for college.  Decisions are tomorrow for DC area independents for the most part.  Just hang tight.  Things have a way of working out.  [/quote]
