I guarantee you're a worse driver than someone who goes above the speed limit. Safe driving is about having control of your vehicle and being able to adjust with the flow... not go a monotonous speed set long ago and think it's fine.

The thing about MD drivers, is that they lack the ability to discern adjusting with the flow, and seem to drive in extremes. Either like a maniac weaving in/out of lanes, or driving slow in the left lane. Don't signal at all... or leave your signal on for 3 miles. Don't turn on headlines in the rain/dark, or drive with your highbeams on.

A good driver is able to adjust to the situation accordingly. There are so, so, sooooo many MD drivers who lack this critical yet simple ability.

Not one of those cars going 30 miles faster than everyone else in all three lanes and weaving in and out like a video game has the skills they think they have. I hate driving to Maryland because I always see these nuts. Groups of them. It’s not just speeding - it’s reckless weaving in and out way faster than the flow of traffic AND way above the speed limit.

Same in my maryland town - so many Va drivers cut through here to get to DC. They tail gate, blow stop signs, speed in residential area, don’t stop at pedestrian crossings, honk unnecessarily, and don’t let others merge in when they can.


People Driving from one state to another probably have long commutes and behave worse is states where they they think people don’t recognize them.
