Maryland drivers are the worst. No matter where I am on 95, no matter the state I’m in, there is a reckless Maryland driver cutting people off and playing frogger. |
+1 they either drive too aggressive or too slow. |
I’m amazed at how many people on this board think not engaging in excessive speeding is the worst thing a driver can do. Slow down people. |
It’s the whole state. Annapolis , eastern shore blah blah blah… crabcakes, lacrosse, private schools, country clubs, sailing, blah blah blah … Big Ten UMD, Hopkins, Navy… even DC and Georgetown are embedded in Md. They own the Potomac River which is kind of infuriating. Just so arrogant. |
The excessive masking in Moco makes me want to puke |
Stay out of the left lane. |
They tailgate in slow lanes as well nobody is safe in that liberal cesspool |
There are nice parts of MD, but a lot of is dirty with sketchy people. |
Same with Va. Charlottesville has higher levels of violent crime than College Park which is crazy to me. |
Haha
How about the other way around? Any state that has enough idiots to elect the liar criminal Youngkin no thanks. In 2024 people in VA will be dying to move to MD. From school choice to no job growth VA is over. Youngkin won't leave til he burns VA to the ground. I will stick with MD> All VA properties sold. |
I’m still mad at UMD leaving the ACC behind for the Big Ten. It basically destroyed the conference financially so they could be greedy. |
You're all TERRIBLE, selfish a**le drivers. Don't matter if you're from VA, DC, or MD. Alllllll terrible. I say this as a transplant. Never before have I ever seen so many a***oles on the road in a single region. It's truly shocking how big of an a**le people are around here when they get into a car. |
I don’t dislike Maryland but apart from a few Chinese restaurants in Rockville have zero reason to ever go there. |
I think you might be onto something, pp. In short: Virginians are envious. They are insecure. And they are frustrated that MD has stereotypes that align with wealth/class while VA has stereotypes that align with redneck conservatism and poverty regardless of the NoVa cost of living. The bad driver trope is a cover. Ultimately, it likely comes down to politics. |
I grew up in Fairfax County and always had the impression that Maryland was kind of trashy, but I don’t know where it came from. |
