VA, DC and MD are equally horrible drivers. Do everyone a huge favor stay out of the left lane and keep to the right! Teach your children, too.
You do realize that there is still a speed limit in the left lane, right?
Left lane is for passing. If cars you your right are passing you need to move the F over. Why don't MD drivers get this? they create walls of traffic because drivers go the same speed in all lanes.
Well I drive the speed limit or below, and I have a right to drive In whatever lane I like. Plus I feel safest in the left lane, in cases of emergency.

You don’t have any right at all to speed !
You’re defending driving below the speed limit in the passing lane? You know that’s creating a really dangerous environment, right?
I’m from DC but prefer Virginia to Maryland. It’s easier to cross the Wilson Bridge than to drive out to Glenarden for Wegmans. I can cross right into McLean for Tyson’s instead of hopping onto the highway for Montgomery Mall.

Yes, and if you don't want to drive above the speed limit, you have no business in the left lane. It's for passing only, regardless of speed or speed limit. Get the F over!
Nope, you can still get pulled over for speeding in the left lane so I’ll keep driving the speed limit there, junior
And you are the person who complains about all the bad drivers who tailgate you and flash their lights. The left lane is for passing only and that's the law. If you sit in the left lane doing the speed limit, you are not a safe driver, you are a menace and you are breaking the law.
You can’t get pulled over for speeding in the left lane? Yes, you can which means you’re breaking the law. I love getting tailgating actually because the tailgaters are the ones that don’t care about the actual law, and I love seeing them get furious as their tailgating doesn’t intimidate me and they just don’t get to their destination 5 seconds sooner. I never move for them.
You are a terrible driver who is impeding traffic. Your choice to sit in a passing lane, don’t complain about other drivers. You’re just as terrible a driver as those you complain about.
Im not complaining at all, as they can tailgate all the time and the risk is on them. I’m completely happy going the speed limit and it’s a myth that you can just fly on the left lane. Cops will pull you over, not me. You’re the angry driver, not me.
Cops do pull you over, idiot.
Dummy, they also pull you over for going 70 in left lane
You clearly need it spelled out for you, so here you go.

This. Every time I’m being ruthlessly tailgated then cut off it nearly always a Maryland bama. The driving style is aggressive.
If you are being tailgated it's because you are slowing people down. There is also, passive aggressive driving. Seriously, no one cares about your right to drive the speed limit when 98% of other drivers do not. Get the F over into the far right lane where you belong and stay there.
+1
What type of personality disordered person stands their ground and refuses to leave the left lane when a driver is riding their tail? That's nuts.
One that steps up to bullying. 98 percent of you angry drivers can feel free to get tickets. It’s all you
MYOB. The cops will hand out tickets, if someone is speeding. In the meantime, get out of the left lane.
Take your anger away from the steering wheel. You shouldn’t be driving.
+1
What you describe is certainly not bullying, any more than someone who parks their arse in the left lane. GTFOH with "bullying". Save it for when it matters. Ever hear of the boy who cried wolf?

Slow down, because where you’re going isn’t that important, bud
I have never seen a VA driver stop in the middle of a road, because they didn't know where they were doing. I've seen Maryland drivers STOP on GW parkway, to get to the left exit. And stop in the middle of moving roadways (not small side streets) because they're like "durrrr.... here? should I turn here? Or is it there? Maybe that one? If I just stop here maybe I'll figure it out? God forbid I make a wrong turn and have to turn around!"

You can get a ticket in all 3 lanes. Slow down as where you’re going is not that important, bro
I live in VA but work in MD so yes, getting the hell out of MD and away for it's crappy drivers at the end of the day does put me in a hurry.
The people who should be tickets are the MD drivers who are going slower than the flow of traffic yet still keep moving to the left when there is another lane.
oh please, I see VA drivers on 270 in MD sitting in the left lane ALL the time.
Those are the folks who are probably originally from MD.
oh of course.. one again, VA people are like.. "it most be those other folks". LOL

after that horrendous accident on the Legion Bridge when it shutdown the bridge for like 12 hours (which was caused by a VA driver, btw), I think twice now about having to cross the bridge for work.

I was stuck as an event planner during that. But Chain Bridge is also an option. You’re not that limited getting from MD and DC to VA. Cross the Key Bridge and hop onto the GW Pkwy.

I never said you can't get cited for speeding in the left lane. And yes, you are THAT douche. The one we all hate and it's not just the car right behind you. They pile up a mile behind you.
Case in point: Maryland driver nearly killed a man sitting on a park bench in Glover Park
Eyewitness statement:
“Apparently the driver was trying to parallel park, went back and forth about 12 times, then all of a sudden accidentally floored it, hopped the curb, smashed into the signs and crashed into the bench almost killing the man seated there – a vet dressed in his camo gear.”
