Just wondering does every kid attend homecoming ? |
No one want expanded height limits except developers and city council members who want to cram subsidised hosting everywhere including on school grounds! |
+1 People bought in Del Ray because they wanted cute bungalows with Metro access and walkability to shops, grocers and restaurants. If they wanted concrete canyons they could have bought in Arlington. Wilson will destroy Del Ray. |
Thus many Del Ray residents supported the car dealership’s request because the alternative would possibly be a large building (which many Del Ray residents like Wilson would support elsewhere in the city). (Personally, I am ok with the car dealership staying (long time business, etc). |
Why is Wilson such a big supporter of larger height buildings if it's clear residents oppose it? Is he benefiting in some way? I'm not political so I'm not sure how this works - can the developers fund his campaign or something in exchange for expanded height limits? |
The dealership got its SUP approved because Reilly (Hyundai's owner) is a big fluffer for Wilson. |
Dreams of running for Beyers seat in congress when he retires. Campaign funded by developers and national association of real estate agents. |
HOCO is tomorrow. Tickets didn't even come close to selling out. |
And given the fight the occurred at the JV football game last night, that’s a good thing. A large group of kids in one place has proved promblematic. I hope that the Woodson football player is okay. |
Nope, of course not! Why ask that question. Not every kid attends graduation or any school event. |
|
If I had a high schooler, I would never let them go to this. What happened at the JV game? |
That ship has sailed. He's mayor for life. Anyone else find it amusing that VA-8 has only every elected rich old white men to Congress? |
Well, Wilson ain't rich or white so he's screwed. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Well, it's the morning after and all the moms are filling the instagram feed with pictures of their kids all dressed up and attending private parties. I feel bad for the kids that weren't invited. Some people just never grow up. |
