Anyone else turning off the Royal coverage?

The American commentators get the history wrong.

Good thing I don't pay attention to them.

This.

History of 21 years ago and history of today. We no longer commemorate Dec. 7 (Pearl Harbor), Nov. 23 (Kennedys assassination). Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, and other holidays are just that, a holiday.

JFK was assassinated on November 22, not 23.

You just proved my point.

If only OP could have read the international news on numerous forms of media.

Seriously international news…lol It’s the Kardashians for low IQ people.

That is right. OP implied that she was missing serious international news — like the defeat of the Swedish PM, Putin’s meeting with Xi Jinping, and the police killing in Canada. Instead she could see only coverage of the Queen.

The commentators are straight out of Best In Show. They should add some blimps and throw cigarettes, silk stockings and chocolate bars to the crowd.

Agree that it's super boring. Disney parade is giving it too much credence. But I am HERE for the gossipy recaps. That part is fun.

I watched Don Lemon interview some Brit royal expert last night and it was so painful -- I couldn't tell if Don was totally bored and pissed about doing it, or if Don was just so out of his element, and waiting for the questions to come through his earpiece. The guy finally said something interesting at the end that was definitely worth a follow-up question, and Don just cut him off -- I don't think he was actually listening to the answers. He was just nodding his head and parroting the questions that came through his ear.

+1. I thought only bored 1980s soap-watching housewives and irate retires watched TV all day.
