Catholic doctrine is often full of hate. Sure we can say they have the right to do it but it’s still quite sad.

- Catholic who attended Catholic school as a child, tried it for my oldest and realized I won’t do that to my kids

Hate. You keep using that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means.

That’s not a catholic belief. I’ve literally never heard a catholic person ever say that in my life. http://theleaven.org/can-only-catholics-go-to-heaven/

Why single out Jews, specifically?

Yea sorry! No baptism to heaven.

Jesus said, "I solemnly assure you, no one can enter into Gods kingdom without being begotten of water and Spirit" (John 3:5).

That is what is taught.

Yes and gay people are sinners and disorders, how is that not hate?

Do you agree with this?

I think it makes sense if sending your kid to a school with these avowed beliefs, yes.
Why would a parent want to send a trans child to a school that rejects their child?

I am a reformed Catholic, a dem and very pro LGBTQ. I don't agree with Catholics on this issue, so I don't choose to associate with them any more. Freedom.

Stating that baptism is required to enter God’s Kingdom doesn’t address what happens to those who don’t. You’re inferring the alternate is hell. Most Jewish people I know don’t even believe in an afterlife. Most Catholic people I know are focused on their own journey to the afterlife, not that of others.

Being gay itself isn’t considered a sin. Having sex outside of marriage is considered a sin. Again, these statements of belief are not hateful. We are all sinners in some way or another. Jesus calls us to love everyone, including and most especially sinners. True Catholicism is rooted in love, not hate.

They're not rejecting the child, just the mistaken view of his/her gender.

Especially when it isn't true. Why do people constantly post crap about Catholicism on here is flat out wrong?

Simplistic overstatement and not Catholic doctrine.

I kind of agree with this. They just don’t have the resources that independent and public schools have.

Except we are Catholics at Catholic schools and our schools respect gender identity and pronouns.

What catholic school do your kids go to that do not respect kids pronouns?

Your school is unusual. Is it in the DC area?

No it is not unusual and yes it is DC, I have 52 nieces and nephews and have experience at many schools. The only schools i believe are behind the times are The heights, Gonzaga and prep.

All other schools have gay/trans non binary kids that are treated with respect.

St. John’s had boys wear dresses to reg ball.

How about the K-8 parochial schools?
