Many dioceses are establishing policies that require their educational institutions to uphold the Catholic teachings of biological sex. For example, in Green Bay schools are no longer allowed to use preferred pronouns, students must use the bathroom of their biological sex/play on sports teams of their biological sex/wear clothing that align with their biological sex. Do you agree with this?

| As a life-long Catholic who attended Catholic schools, if my child wished to use gender pronouns different from those assigned at birth then I'd pull them from the Catholic school. It isn't going to be a good fit for a lot of reasons. I have a favorable impression of Catholic schools based on my experience, but I recognize that it isn't for everyone. And schools vary. My Catholic university was very inclusive and liberal with school-sanctioned clubs for gay and transgendered students. K-12 was a different story and I just wouldn't put my kid through that. There are many, many types of schools out there and I am not going to use my kid as an experimental tool to force change. |
+1 Also I think all those rules just need to be assumed. |
This so much!! |
| Wow! Catholic schools teaching and promoting Catholic doctrine! What a scandal! |
| They are Catholic schools. If you don't like the policies then that is clearly not the school for your family. Find a better fit. |
+1 Why are you surprised Op? There are conservative Baptist schools and Muslim schools that also fall into this parameter. Try for an independent private school or a Jewish one. Trying to stir the pot...again (dont you post something similar every week on here or the Private School Forum)? |

There is nothing in the Bible that says a boy must wear shirt hair and pants. Jesus didn’t even do that.
Remember when girls could nit wear pants, how stupid was that? There is nothing that says you must use certain pronouns for certain people. There is nothing that says a girl can not wrestle. I wish the Catholic Church would get out of politics and teach Jesus’s teachings. |

I agree with it.

| Of course I agree with it. Their schools, their religion = their rules |

What many people don’t realize is that there are so many types of disorders of sex development. There is usually some underlying genetic reason someone does not identify as cisgender. It is cruel that the Catholic Church does not accept the medical truth.

DSDs are rare. The current cohort of middle schoolers identifying as trans do not have DSDs. |
I’m so grateful to have catholic school as an option for my kids. |

diocese of Green Bay schools get millions of taxpayer dollars every year courtesy of the Wisconsin parental choice program (aka vouchers). I would normally agree but if you are going to take government money you shouldn't be able to violate title ix. |
