Are you canceling plans for the 4th?

Fly your flag at half mast or upside down.

Don’t let these conservative piggies own patriotism or pretend they care about liberty. They will gun down their fellow citizens as soon as they get the OK from Uncle Clarence.

+ 100. Another 1st gen American here. My parents emphasized education and thanks to them and this amazing country, my kids are living a life that’s an order of magnitude greater than mine. Happy 4th!!

Also get a flag with the yellow line instead of blue to represent that cops are cowards.

Then I just saw two social media posts about the same. One from a friend who said her family would be attending a protest at X location instead. Another from a friend who announced they were no longer celebrating and would be wearing black on that day instead.

I told my kids our plans got canceled and neither seemed to care. DS said there's nothing to celebrate this year. DD said wearing black is a trend that's going around on tictock along with not buying gas July 2 (or 3rd maybe?) and a women's strike.

Hahahaha

Good grief. What joyless, miserable people. We will be wearing our red white and blue, attending a parade, and then bbq-ing and watching fireworks with a bunch of friends. Have fun moping around in black bemoaning that you must drive further to kill your baby. What a bunch of miserable psychos. I’m pro-choice in the old school kind of way (safe, legal, rare), but do believe that as the science of preemie viability changes, the law should reflect that. My daughter’s best friend is a wonderful girl who was a very early preemie. It changed how I felt about second trimester abortion. The nuance of this issue has been given back to the states. It’s unpatriotic to engage in hyperbole that something else has happened.

Seriously. Whatever virtue signaling works for you, I guess.

We’re doing what we’ve always done. Zero fcks given.

+1. Couldn’t agree more.

You guys are such dorks, just acting your little hearts out so you can claim common cause with people who actually have sh$tty lives. Over, what exactly? A 6-3 SC decision on constitutional law that you absolutely don’t understand? Don’t you fret there, Delilah, you can still get knocked up with impunity and have it taken care of however you like. You just can’t drive down to the ONE clinic that existed in Alabama and do it there. You weren’t gonna do that anyway.

I’ll be out there in the sunshine, “Ros-ey All Day” to Toby Keith, just a lock stock and barrel classic American celebration. You can sit in the house sobbing like Powder from the movie Powder if you want to.

You are so ignorant I'm not sure this is satire.
But here's the thing- I know the laws won't affect me or my daughter b.c we can pay and travel.(unless they try some of those crossing state line laws they are cooking up). But I actually care about and feel for the women and girls in TX, OK, LA etc who are poor and stuck in bad situations.

So what are you doing about it?? If people care, we shouid be rallying for a constitutional amendment guaranteeing the right to choose. What makes this country great is that we can do that. It takes a huge amount of effort, but if every woman who cares about it rises up, we are unstoppable.

What I don’t want to see is women who are in states where they can get abortion easily do nothing.

Can’t kill people that make sandwiches wrong, can’t keep black people in their place, can discriminate against Hispanics, can’t attack Asians in the subway, can’t tie gay people to a stake and light them on fire, can’t take AR-25’s to pizza places to “save the children”… they are terribly boring.

Oh please. Democrats are the racist party. Outlawing housing by so people must be homeless, insisting that minorities want to be mugged and experience violence in their communities. Defunding the police. Please. These are policies that are popular with white AU Park virtue signalers, not actual minorities.

I’m gonna go watch fireworks with my kids because they’re fireworks. Same as every year, I’m not standing for the pledge or crying over Lee Greenwood or wearing any flag crap. Your intention toward the day is your own, nobody needs to know if you’re eating a hot dog off a grill as a patriot or not.

I know 60 million people not attending the Fourth.

I am so sad to read some of these posts. I am off sacrificing for this country. Not just for a pay check, because I could make as much or more with less sacrifices (away from family, small living quarters, can’t take weekend trips, ect).

Should I just give up? Do you think you have a chance of changing things if we just give up and think it all sucks? If we do, another worse country with less freedoms will certainly come and takeover.

Maybe you don’t like the direction things are going but this is still a darn good place to live. If actually have the freedoms to make it what you want.

Canceling your own plans for the 4th? You all really need to get off social media.

I will do no such thing. This is my country and I will do what I want.

I'm celebrating in the most American way. I'll be working! Hustle culture for the self-employed.... sigh.

I will never not celebrating the day Will Smith, Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum saved us from the aliens.

America is not the best country in the world. What a ridiculous, bogus trope.
