Feast your eyes on Gwyneth Paltrow's new manse in Montecito

I love it. And I don't really like contemporary.

This is really underwhelming given how expensive it is. She spent more on fireplace surrounds than I did furnishing my entire home.

Such is the unfortunate mental condition of the rich and famous.

Ahhh I love it and her.

I like this like I like going to a museum and seeing an art installation. But in reality, it reminds me of those stark hotels you walk into and it feels very surreal. Then you open your suitcase, and put your coffee cup on the side table, and take your shoes off and all of a sudden "you" are junking up this pristine space. I personally like lots of stuff, stuff hides the normal day to day stuff we all need and welcomes it in. Side tables, chairs, plants, photos, pillows, throw blankets, books, KNICK NACKS, so when I walk in and take my shoes off and plop down with my coffee it all disappears.

I have had a giant sectional for 10+ years. Sectionals are horrendous, I can't wait to get rid of ours. Such a terrible way to sit and chat with family or friends.
Also, there aren't any lamps anywhere, overhead lighting only is so drab.
And she was so backhanded bish about that dining room fixture in the video. It was truly a masterclass in being an uppity know it all backstabbing PIA.

The hammock is good. The dining room is good. Everything else is meh.

Overall, I like her outfits more than the house!!

That brown beige mismatched unflattering WTF belted gross mess from the video? I hope not!

My favorite part is where they expect lain the house is solar powered and has a gray-water system, thanks to Paltrow’s “commitment to environmentalism.” I laughed so hard I cried. The committed environmentalism of someone with multiple homes scattered across the world, building a solar powered house she will spend maybe a couple months a year occupying. Throw in that she’s an intensely consumerist entrepreneur who encourage constant purchasing of clothes and “wellness” cures by convincing women that a willingness to splurge on jade rollers, designer vitamins, and $400 cotton dresses will fill the hole in their heart.

Committed environmentalist Gwyneth Paltrow. I’m dying.

It’s a very pretty house though!

I want somewhere I can cozy up and relax. You can’t fart on those benches and chairs without it echoing to every room in the house.

That would be a selling point for me. It would sound like a rifle on an oil drum.

I liked the entryway. Hated all the lighting in the home. Would love to have seen the MBA. Really picked up on her lisp- that was my biggest takeaway. I wonder if she has dental issues?

That spa is bigger than my first condo - are you kidding? Maybe you don't like it because its underground?

It’s dark and creepy. Needs much better lighting.

The jaw dropping cost of some of her accessories. It’s gross. Her lamp costs more then some people earn in a year.

+1. It sure seems like she’s lying about cooking!

Is this a serious post? She could easily hire someone to polish her pots before the shoot, or heck, daily.

The $62,000 hammock!

I hope this is sarcasm. The ability to throw hundreds of thousands of dollars at a decorator is not exactly a major accomplishment.
.

If that one hammock is $62,000, she threw millions at the decorator.
