| Process crimes are still crimes. The crimes that Stone committed are an assault on the core of the rule of law and thus, have to be punished harshly. |
So? That's what government attorneys regularly do, and then the defense comes back with a much lower recommendation. Then it's up to the judge who oftentimes splits the difference. This is why we know this is being done to appease King Donald - because it's not the DOJ's job to make the defense's arguments. |
| But Bill Clinton once talked to Loretta Lynch on an airplane.... |
|
Let's do have an investigation on this matter like so many are calling for.
You know how this will turn out? Some rogue US attorneys misled the DOJ in their sentencing guidelines and got called out doing so. And, I have no doubt they have evidence of such. |
Oh yes, they can manufacture dirt just like the Ukrainians were asked to do on Joe Biden, except the leaders at DOJ are Trump's henchmen so they'll actually do it. So of course you have no doubt. |
Except for those pesky sentencing guidelines... |
If the left is blaming you for something (like Trump interfering) they are most likely already guilty of it. |
No. The line attorneys recommended a sentence based on the federal sentencing guidelines for the crimes for which Stone was convicted. The new DOJ recommendation asks for a sentence that is less than the minimum in the federal guidelines. The DOJ position now reads like is was written by the defense rather than by the prosecution. |
What? Sentencing guidelines are public. Look them up. What the now-resigned DOJ attorneys proposed was in the norm for the crimes that Stone has been convicted of. And the fact of the matter, if he hadn't lied, then perhaps we would know more about Trump and Wikileaks. But since he is covering for Trump on this, he has to do the time. That is how it works. Please stop repeating nonsense Fox talking points. |
| The Dems want another investigation, like the 40 million Russian one. Once again they're moving the goalpost... so predictable for the Resistance movement. |
It didn't cost $40 million, it actually reaped profits, and it exposed significant wrongdoing. There is still wrongdoing happening, even many GOP senators admitted as such, they just didn't want to vote to remove the President from Office. |
|
For those who were convicted of lying to cover up his crimes - Manafort, Flynn, Stone, Cohen, before he flipped - Trump urges lighter sentences and dangles pardons.
This is what mafiosos do. Why are people defending it? |
Oooh, oooh, I know! It's called PROEJCTION and it's what Trump and his acolytes do best!!! Just start taking a look at whatever Trump criticizes his perceived political enemies about and you can for sure guarantee he is guilty of it himself. |
| The Department was shocked to see the sentencing recommendation in the filing in the Stone case last night,” the DOJ official reportedly told Fox. “The sentencing recommendation was not what had been briefed to the Department.” |
