| I know his background does not really matter in this case, but does anyone have a link to the news that David Thanh Duc Dao( passenger) and David Anh Duy Dao( person with criminal background) are the same? |
https://www.theflightexpert.com/buddy-pass/ Letter from United to customers: https://hub.united.com/our-customers-leggings-are-welcome-2331263786.html This site lists the dress code: http://heavy.com/news/2017/03/united-airlines-dress-code-spandex-leggings/ |
They ain't seen nothing yet. People around the world are disgusted with United. |
I doubt it. Consumers have a short memory: https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/crisis-experts-to-united-this-too-shall-pass/2017/04/11/3550be86-1ec9-11e7-a0a7-8b2a45e3dc84_story.html?utm_term=.e75b1d3d279d |
| He caused his injuries. All he had to do was use his perfectly fine working legs. He could have easily stood up. It looked like he did everything he could to get banged up. Now everyone feels sorry for him because he is a convicted criminal. It appears he was not raised to obey the law and he feels he can get away with it. |
. How come the girls' father wearing shorts was allowed through? |
All united had to do was offer fair compensation for not providing a service that customers had paid for and someone would have volunteered. |
Every time I see that video of that elderly Asian gentlemen being dragged down that plane with the passengers screaming in horror, I know damn well that could have been my father, just trying to come home on the airline seat I bought him. Yeah, my father has a funky foreign name, so he's an easy target to. |
If you read the link, shorts are allowed as long as they are a certain length. |
Careful, you'll be accused on here of working for United. This man chose to disobey in a cause similar to Rosa Parks. Tomorrow there will be a protest at the Capitol. They'll be chanting: "What do we want?" "Changes to Federal regulations for involuntary denied boarding process!" "When do we want it?" "Now!" (or after Congress gets back from recess) |

Sadly my DH pointed out that United didn't rank first or even 2nd for voluntary or involuntary bumping. I started a thread on DCUM and was cancelling the CC then...
https://www.transportation.gov/sites/dot.gov/files/docs/resources/individuals/aviation-consumer-protection/2017MarchATCR.pdf I did find an article where a person got bout 11,000 for family travel due from delta for 1 recent trip: https://www.forbes.com/forbes/welcome/?toURL=https://www.forbes.com/sites/laurabegleybloom/2017/04/09/why-delta-air-lines-paid-me-11000-not-to-fly-to-florida-this-weekend/&refURL=&referrer=#9be82424de16 |
How about 9am on Easter Monday? Lots of us will be off work anyways, and there'll be the excitement of the Easter Egg Roll at the White House. Seriously. |
Did they get out a ruler to measure?
Anyway, I find it a bit strange they so strictly apply this rule to children. Leggings for kids arent like the spandex pants Richard Simmons wears- they extremely common attire for girls, and I have a hard time believing that other customers would feel two kids were badly representing United because they were wearing leggings. Now if they were causing a raucous or running up and down the aisles screaming, now that would be a reason to complain. |
Will you wear your leggings to the protest on Easter Monday? |
