Then as more Republicans gained office through support from this dark money, those Republicans working to deregulate every protection the American populace had against the influence of the wealthiest individuals and corporations. For instance, a Republican-lead FCC relaxed Media Ownership rules which helped the richest Americans further spread their influence by broadcasting propaganda and lies to convince the uneducated and disaffected to Vote against their own financial interest.

Thats where it all started - the Supreme Court. And that’s the government body which today continues to cause the most damage by refusing to uphold the Constitution, precedent, and the rule of law.

You're correct about where this out of control problem started but unfortunately we can't go back in time to stop CU from happening and we certainly know the corrupt politicians of our major political parties aren't going to do anything to stop the money from coming in.

All we can do now is address the situation at hand with two corrupt and dysfunctional political parties running our Federal Government. What can we do to either force complete overhaul and reform on them or to have them shut down so we can start from scratch? That is the question we must find an answer to.

Ehhh... 155 million people were duped into voting for two candidates in 2020 who had absolutely no business being considered for the most powerful position on the planet. I'm pretty sure many of those people were otherwise reasonably intelligent people of sound mind.

The percentage of those types of people voting in party primaries is very, very small. When Obamas, Romneys, McCains, Kerrys, Gores, Bushs, Doles, Clintons... are the going head to head in a general election, we don't suffer the consequences of poor decision making quite like we do when there are Trumps and Bidens running in general elections.

We need two high functioning political parties putting forth the cream of the crop chosen from a competitive field in free and fair primary elections. The cream of the crop are no longer entering politics thanks to our corrupt political parties. Who wants to be a puppet to political mega donors when the best of the best can earn 5 x as much working in the private sector?

If there were enough people in Congress who had a spine and a conscience, they could rein Citizens United in - by putting strict limits on how much individuals and organizations can donate, per candidate, per cycle, by requiring disclosure and transparency for PACs and SuperPACs, and by banning candidates from coordinating with outside groups.

I agree 100% but clearly there aren't enough of those people in Congress because reform is obviously very much so needed yet it hasn't happened. Politics does not attract as high a quality of people as it used to thanks to this very problem of money having too much influence in politics.

The Democrat bill has a provision specifically eliminating the provision from the Trump budget that removes illegals. This has nothing to do with expiring of the temporary additional ACA subsidies.
