Hey Chuck Schumer, Democrats on DCUM agree that Republicans are responsible for the shutdown. You are now free to have Democrats vote for the CR, you won't be blamed.
Well Republicans are in control of everything- house, congress, presidency and courts. Why are the republicans not to blame? This is like saying the voters in the US are not responsible for Trump,
The American electorate is absolutely responsible for the garbage leadership we've had since Obama left office. Each and everyone of us needs to stop the finger pointing, take a long look in the mirror, and promise to take our voting privileges more seriously going forward.
There's zero correlation between what voters want and what our representatives actually make happen. Study after study shows this. The correlation exists only for donors. Our government has not belonged to We the People for a long time. Voting didn't cause this, money in our politics caused this. Capitalism and the ruthless pursuit of profits caused this. And it won't get better until we as a society decide 1) that there are things more important than money, and 2) that the money hungry sociopaths currently running our society must be stopped. Until we can all agree on those 2 points, things will continue to spiral downward.
This is why we need to have a cognitive ability test before allowing people to vote. Yes, these were used before to prevent people from voting but this is a different era. Technology and medicine have advanced to a point that allows people to mask their deficiencies. People can also vote absentee but there's no guarantee that they are actually the ones voting if they are mentally incapacitated. Plus, there's also the case of Diane Feinstein. The debate seems to be who is more senile, Biden or Chump. But should either of them, or many others in this country, be allowed to vote? We wouldn't want them as our Uber driver. Please don't cite the constitution or court cases because many of these laws are written poorly.
There has been a small faction of low IQ and/or mentally unfit people voting since the inception of our nation. It wasn't until recently that we, collectively, forgot what a real president was. Most of the Trump/Biden voters are actually intelligent high-functioning normal people who contribute to society. They just got forced into political bubbles of nonsense hate by the well-crafted messaging campaigns of our awful political parties. We have been divided and conquered by the wealthy financial backers of our two corrupt political parties. We can only take back control over our Federal Government by working together as a united people of a great nation.
