If Hamas is responsible for this, then yes, I denounce and condemn them in the strongest terms. I've been denouncing Hamas from the beginning. What people like you don't seem to understand is that you can condemn Hamas and also condemn the Israeli reaction to the terror attack insofar as the IDF is committing war crimes against civilians in Gaza.

I'm aware of that. I still don't think that reality means that the Israeli government is excused from its obligation to follow international law and to not commit crimes against humanity.

The IDF's evacuation order was a CYA move. They knew full well that it wasn't possible to evacuate Gaza City in the timeframe they ordered, and if they were somehow unaware, the UN told them as much. And they are still conducting airstrikes in the south. The same area where thousands of civilians are massed without food, water, fuel, or sanitation because Israel is not allowing them to receive humanitarian aid.

What is the consequence for Hamas (the ruler of Gaza) not following international law? Still waiting for those...
