You have to ask why did Hamas choose to invade Israel and murder 1400 innocent civilians, injure thousands more, rape hundreds of women, torture children, and kidnap more than 200 people, including old women and babies? Hamas declared war on Israel. They started it. I also feel terrible for the innocent Germans that died in WWII. But Germany invaded Poland and then reaped the consequences. It's the nature of war. And this war was brought by Hamas.

And they’re holding hundreds of Israelis hostage. I’m pretty sure the US would rain hell on an any other country for doing the same, which is why countries leave us alone. Hamas has the power to end this. But it doesn’t want to. It wants the blood of its own people to serve their cause, which is the annihilation of Israel. Luckily it seems as though a regional conflict is not yet happening that would tip the balance in Hamas’ favor. I believe the neighbors don’t care much for Hamas either.

Again, you missed the whole point of "don't start a war you don't want to fight"--the point is go fight the war but don't complain when who you fight, fights back.
