Looks like a new Gaza war has started

Hamas, Iran, Lebanon, Hezbollah, all want destruction of Israel.

When Gaza elected Hamas in 2006 to take power from Fatah, they sealed their fate.

They elected a known terrorist organizing to represent them and kicked out the non-violent Fatah party that was also pro-Palestinian.

So basically if Gaza is flattened, the. So be it. The people there chose this.

Is our reaction to this supposed to be different from reaction to Ukraine war?

I think it is convenient that this happened just weeks after Biden gave Iran $6 billion.
And, then Iran issues a statement supporting Hamas.

Nobody chooses this. You choose to believe they do based on an election over 10 years ago
Your statement even hinges on hate speech

Yes we need to defund Israel now! Hamas(and Russia) has the right to take back territory.

Netanyahu will never choose peace, he hates Arabs as much as they hate Jews. Hamas knows it can't win full scale battle but they just don't want SA to go over to Israel. So they war. War is ugly and innocent lives are taken in every war. There's no it's sad and it's awful it's what war is, once that is declared everyone gets hurt until one side can't fight anymore. So let's see what SA does. Without their support, it will be quick but with SA on board, back to bloodshed. I condemn it but I understand that it's Arabs leverage in giving Palestine a chance. Let's face it Netanyahu hates them and would never try to make anything better - he's as bad as Hamas really.

Worst security failure in Israel’s history on Bibi’s watch. WTF happened? Hamas cut massive holes through the border fence and are freely driving back & forth with supplies, kidnapped civilians and soldiers, etc.

Sderot was over run! Bibi failed big time, too distracted by his stupid domestic games and cult of personality.

Biden also gave Israel billions. When will tump and the Republicans denounced Israel like they did to in Ukraine? How much more money should we give Israel?

It is important to point out that this was started by Hamas.
Killing innocent people and parading them around like trophies. They are savages. Maybe there is a reason they are disliked.

And, don't try to "both sides" this.

Didn’t Obama set a limit on the funds for Israel? If I understood it correctly, the aid cannot be increased or decreased

Either way, budget has been decided on.
It is up to Israel how much they want escalate this. Pushing so many people into Gaza just because they have a different ethnicity and religion was a mistake and unsustainable in the long run. Israel has failed to be a more peaceful neighbor and has used the occasional tension to garner sympathy and funds. What they should have focused on is a more sustainable long term solution, which they were not interested in

Yes. Democrats won't want to fund this war and Republicans will.

Perhaps this should be a warning to the US - and Biden in particular - about our border failure.

How do you figure?

When we have hundreds of people on our terror watch list caught at our border - and over 1.5 MILLION got aways who have made it into our country - not having a secure border is a national security failure.
