Economy will be roaring. Middle East will be forgotten. And the Republicans will still be pushing a national abortion ban.

Totally agree. Democratic landslide.

Show me one reputable source that supports roaring economy. Everyone on both sides predict that it will continue sliding down.

This past quarter’s GDP number didn’t penetrate your bubble, eh? Nothing is sliding down now.

That GDP just reflects inflation. People paying more for fewer products. That’s why people are under incredible stress and getting very angry.

You are wrong. Real GDP is adjusted for inflation. The economy is growing. Consumers are spending. All your prayers for a recession were unanswered.

I hope you're right about a roaring economy and leave in the middle east. It seems unlikely, though, because we are sending money to both Palestine and Israel. Normally, if you fund both sides, it prolongs a war.

If people think voting for the GOP - likely Trump or not voting at all and by default enabling Trump to win - we won’t be going to get peace. Not in the Middle East, not in the United States, not anywhere. It we will be in a full-on fascistic state where people will be barred from basic civil rights because they are Muslim or gay or a woman (not that these aren’t in jeopardy already).

All these people who hate Israel, who deny it the right to protect itself from offensives from neighbors and terrorists, and want to “show Biden” for having the basic morality to support Israelis in the wake of the heinous attack of October 7 when so many were completely SILENT.

You’re biting your nose to spite your face.

Hello, Biden is in the White House and we are engaged in TWO wars. TWO. Biden isn't saving us from anything and he's certainly not saving Palestinian children from being killed by Israel and from Israelis getting massacred by Hamas.

What exactly is Biden supposed to do other than what he and his administration are doing right now?

And just let me point up the massive hypocrisy of the right, which wants the US completely out of the Ukraine war but now wants us to do -- what? boots on the ground? -- in Israel/Gaza. Which is it? America First or Team America World Police?

Biden seriously needs to ask Trump for help getting the world back under control. Trump is the only person in DC that knows how to be smart.

You are delusional. Seek help urgently.

A lot of COVID conscious people saw a slight edge in Trump’s response as well. Operation Warp Speed and a whole slew of the actually effective counter measures happened under Trump. But the Biden administration really just wanted to be all ‘Mission Accomplished’ and started pretending we didn’t have a problem. This is why many more died under Biden than under Trump: we had more tools, but even less will to use them.

A lot of the posters trying to browbeat us into voting for Biden could see Biden (or HRC, BHO, WJC, KH, PB, etc) shoot someone on 5th Avenue and they’d still say, “Look, that’s stable, effective leadership!”

Trump management was undeniably vastly superior. Normal people tend to like World Peace, low inflation, a stable border, less crime, a stable banking system, higher ACT scores, a record stock market that stays ahead of inflation and rapidly growing economy, healthier cities, low levels of antisemitism, less homelessness, higher life expectancies…
.

You must have been in a coma during the Trump administration.

I don't hate Israel. Don't deny it the right of self defense. Their bombing of Gaza is not self defense and doesn't get rid of Hamas, or the idea of Hamas. Just creates a new generation who will want to join the next version of Hamas. Their tactics have been brutal and have resulted in the loss of thousands of innocent civilians. You can't convince me that they couldn't have engaged different tactics to get rid of Hamas with less loss of civilians.

I understand Biden supports Israel. However, he has been callous in regards to the lives of Palestinians lost.

His comment that he was a Zionist, when that is such a loaded word to so many people.

His complete disregard of the number of Palestinians killed, when those numbers have been found reliable in previous conflicts thus far.

His complete disregard of the Palestinians prior to October 7. As if there was no problem, no issues going on in the West Bank, no settler violence, etc. Biden could have done/said things differently that wouldn't have alienated the Arab-American/Muslim voting block.

I have never voted for a Republican in 20 years and I don't plan to start. I think they don't know how to run government, have no plans on how to improve the lives of Americans, and a lot of them are beholden to racists and Islamophobes. And they will make my life in America more difficult if they are in power, no doubt. But I'm tired. I will vote my conscience. It's about time I do.

What would you recommend re: eliminating Hamas? This is a terrorist organization that deliberately hides itself in schools, mosques, hospitals, and other areas that maximize civilian peril. What should Israel have done differently? Curious what your thoughts are.

NP. Israel should start by recognizing that this problem is almost entirely their fault.
Absent that, they are fools tempting the fates.

You're not biased again Israel, are you?

I’m sure I am substantially less biased against Israel than you are biased against reality.

It is not reality to think that this problem is almost entirely Israel's fault.

Thank you, this is exactly how I feel. Israel needs US support at this time and I don't fault Biden for giving it. But the manner in which he did so has been so undiplomatic and unintelligent. He could have supported Israel without antagonizing the entire Arab world. There are many Arab countries whose support we definitely need in the region particularly given the situation in Ukraine and energy crisis. Also, our support for Israel does not and should not be unconditional. US standing in the world would have been better if our aid and words of support were tied to humanitarian aid and pauses. I'm quite frankly surprised bc I though foreign relations was one area where Biden would excel with diplomacy and nuance. This has been a resounding failure.

Interesting take. I’m someone who worries we have sleepwalked into these messes and really heavy lifting is needed. But it’s interesting that even those who more amenable to the recent past still see a lack of competence and artfulness in these matters. I kind of wonder if Biden is just too old to see how the world has changed.

Read this and understand what a Trump second term means for the rule of law and normalcy in our country

Combine that with Zeints legislation proposal to expel all Palestinians from the US and the threat to ban abortions nationally and it is hard for me to understand the idea that people think both sides are the same.

Stop trying to pretend you have a choice. If Trump becomes the Republican candidate there is no debate.

Again. That’s in a year. Spend this year making Biden a great candidate.

He already is.

90% of that list is pork. The rest is fluff.

Eyeroll. Nothing is ever enough.

Biden saved the economy from cratering post-Covid and reengaged with the world after four years of a crazy-wanna-be-autocrat.

it's not pork or fluff, it's governing. You probably aren't familiar with that. Hint: It doesn't involve inciting riots or calling Nazis "good people."

I really disappointed in so many of you who probably consider yourselves smart and savvy people. Instead of evaluating Biden’s stable leadership, you’re blindly regurgitating conservative talking points.

Good. The more disappointed democrats, the better chance that something will change. Biden is not a stable leadership. US is downsliding on all fronts. The world is on fire. I guess it is stable if this is was a goal.
