I can’t imagine any good Palestinian person volunteering to go on cnn to defend the Hamas attack or engage in whataboutism to justify an act of terror. And cnn obviously won’t bring Hamas sympathizers on tv. And why should they?

This is indefensible.

I think you might want to distinguish the past human rights abuses, land grab, etc. from what Hamas just did. They kidnapped women and children. They slaughtered a German tourist. Separate the past from the present and get on the right side of history.

The past IS the present. The past is happening. It never stopped. Israel doesn't get to say "nothing we did up until this point matters."

Disagree.

Your line of thinking seemingly absolves Bin Laden and the 9/11 terrorists by placing shared responsibility (at best) on the US for prior action in the Middle East. And that’s obviously ridiculous, right?

Here’s what is going to happen: all the Free Palestine people in the US, Europe, and other civilized nations will realize the atrocities committed by Hamas against women and children simply can’t be justified. They’ll quietly retreat. The only people voicing support for Hamas and Palestine will be terrorists: Hezbollah, Taliban, and religious extremists who clearly aren’t defending human rights.

Unfortunately this will never happen. The more videos of horrifying crimes against Israeli civilian I see, the more comments I see justifying them. You're underestimating how much people really, really hate Jews.

Small correction: People love dead Jews. The living ones, not so much.

Oh what an anti semitic statement

You do realize that “People love dead Jews” is the title of a New York Times notable book written by a Jew explaining that yes, people seem to rally around dead Jews, but have no patience for the living ones. Perhaps instead of hurling insults, you should crack open more books.

Ah yes the suffering of the living Jews, shuttling back and forth between one rich country in the a Middle East and one in the West, between the suburbs of NY and Hollywood. Pining away at all those awards ceremonies where they are never honored. Rarely given the chance to write at a major newspaper or appear on TV. Discriminated by employers, profiled by the NSA and never supported by the US government.

Wow, you're doing great at Jew-hate bingo! You forgot to add the stuff about banks though.

You people are the reason anti semitism exists. Stop pretending to be victims

Again with the "you people"!

Please stop playing the Jewish victim card. This is about the atrocities committed by Israel and its leaders for the last four decades. This has nothing to do with Jews but if you, as a God fearing Jew actually support the notion of colonization, apartheid, and depriving civilians if the basic essentials of life then you’re just an inhumane person, your religion is completely irrelevant.

4 decades? They’ve been doing this since 1948. The people in Gaza are refugees from Israel that were forced from their homes by the IDF. They’ve been doing this for 70+ years

Yes you’re right. I guess I gave these people some leeway and was talking about the events after 1967 but absolutely these atrocities against the Palestinians have been committed regularly since 1948. But let’s clutch our pearls and talk about the rockers from Hamas. How dare these barbaric Palestinians demand food and clean water for their children while Israelis go clubbing and sip their wine next to Olympic sized pools.

The Israeli Jews are the Nazis of this conflict. A terrorist state, pumped up on weaponry, that has occupied, dispossessed, encamped and killed en masse.

Why are you so incensed, there are thousands of videos of Palestinian children maimed and dismembered? Is there something extra special about Jewish boys?

DP. Actually there aren’t videos as barbaric from the IDF side. I realize the propaganda you absorb doesn’t allow you to accept that truth, but that doesn’t change reality.

I am sorry to be the one to tell you but the world doesn't feel nearly as much outrage about this as you think.

Just wait until more videos come out. Have you seen the kidnapped civilians? The kids? The young girls?

People will be outraged.

They ARE seeing them, and they're NOT outraged. Every comment section I see under one of these videos is 90% pro-Hamas/anti-Israel.

Are they Arabs? Muslims?

Figures. It’s a numbers game and they are everywhere.

But they don’t wield power…which is why they resort to terror.

Well it's online so I don't know. But all the white people I know are anti-Israel.

Only the ones who watch msnbc

No, pretty much all of them. My peer group is highly educated, very progressive and very self-loathing, and completely buy into the notion that Israel is a white, colonialist, super rich apartheid country.

Your peers are being kind, based on the comments I am reading on the Jerusalem Post I’d call the Israeli Jews savages.

The ones being kidnapped, tortured and murdered? Savages? How so?

They’re illegally occupying another country

So some Jew living in Haifa or Tel Aviv is occupying another country...and therefore a savage. Gotcha.

Umm yeah? The Jew living in Haifa has parents and grandparents who played an active role in pushing out an entire ethnic group to make room for themselves because you know their ancestors roamed the land 7000 years ago so therefore they are God’s chosen people.

You could say the exact same thing about any American, Canadian, Aussie and so on. Going to call all of us "savages"?

Yes you dumb animal. The Americans, the Canadians, the Australians, the Israelis. They’re all savages genocidal savages that understand 1 language: unmitigated violence.

Non-violence only works when your adversaries have a conscience. The Americans, the Canadians, the Israelis have none. So they must feel.

The “savages” are the ones who kidnapped a little boy, and brought him into Gaza. Imagine the night he is having, and hang your head in shame:

Don’t care. How many Palestinian boys have been kidnapped, tortured and killed by the IDF? Israel regularly kidnaps children and tortures them in military prisons. You should actually kill yourself for thinking anyone needs to care about dead Israeli settlers. Israelis only understand violence.

Hamas sent their brightest light to engage with us on DCUM tonight?

Toronto's mayor tweeted something about ensuring that violence against Jews will not be tolerated (because there's always an uptick during these conflicts), and people here are actually incensed by it.

Canada has a very large anti-Semitic population, unfortunately.

Cool. So what aboriginal group are you part of?

The one that’s none of your business. You think this is a gotcha? It’s not. I’m donating to Hamas.

They deserve no leeway. No grace. No benefit of the doubt. They understand 1 language.
I have seen this play out over and over.

Get some sleep, violent internet interlocutor. You can wish death to the Jews again tomorrow, if you want. We still have some children you haven't raped.

If they manage to kill even half of the members of Hamas, that is a good thing.
More than that - even better.

Are they murderous or are you?
were you upset when Nazis got killed? Hamas wants every Jew on earth dead

The Israeli Jews are the Nazis of this conflict. A terrorist state, pumped up on weaponry, that has occupied, dispossessed, encamped and killed en masse.

Oh seriously, **CK YOU. There is a video of an innocent 5 year old boy kidnapped by Hamas and taken to Gaza, passed around like a toy for abuse and god knows what else. Seriously I hope you rot in hell

Yes don’t you know? They aren’t as barbaric because the Palestinians kids are actually blown up by the IDF missiles so the poor kids don’t even have the luxury of getting a picture of their dead body. But yes go on about propaganda.

We all know these particular folks. They are pretty widely despised, even despite their own loudly performative self-loathing. But yes, I agree with you that group may be wringing their collective hands tonight but by tomorrow will have definitely found a way to excuse the rape and murder of small Jewish children by Hamas members.
