The royal life sounds perfectly ghastly, which is why Chelsy and Cressida had the good sense to run away.

Haz was a douche and rude and had second thoughts to no avail. I LOVE that for the totally happy Sussexes:

LOL right that's why they gave her a million dollar wedding. Took her on engagements with the Queen. Gave them choice tours. Meghan would have been embraced in good time if she made any effort to understand her new role.

+1 I think it was a $30M wedding. Look, Meghan is brilliant and a hard worker. She is also an emotional mess. Just look at the interviews - she was always in charge. It made the BRF uncomfortable. Most people can’t handle a strong woman, and that is certainly how she presents herself. Total driver personality.

I hope I never meet them IRL. I’d probably end up blurting something inappropriate about frostbite. 🤣

Meghan initiated the divorce, as well as the break up with the guy she was living with when she first connected with H.

Wait she cheated on a live in boyfriend with harry?

Chelsy and Cressida are rich heiresses, they had better options. It was not the Royal life, it was Harrold, he was an ass to both women.

They are scraping the barrel of grievances, we’re at lipgloss level now.

LOL! That was a weird thing to include....I don't know a single 40 year old woman who would ask to borrow lip gloss from another woman.

A lot of the little stories that they shared in the Netflix doc and in the book make me think Meghan does this stuff on purpose. "I hug!" "I wear ripped jeans!" "I talk to my girlfriends like this!"......just feels like she purposely tried to push the envelope to create some narrative of stuffy Brit vs. cool American.

Either she is completely incapable of reading a room, or she was trying to make a point by refusing to adopt a more formal demeanor. I think it was the letter, because she seems so proud of what she did and revel in the frosty reaction she got. It was as though she was trying to recreate a Vanity Fair profile of a celebrity, where the author exclaims about how the “down to earth” celebrity answered the door “barefoot & in ripped jeans without a trace of makeup on her face.”

I have never been so happy to be an only child. With brothers like this, who needs an enemy?

I never liked H&M since their interview to Oprah, but never really liked or especially sympathized with the W&K or the Royal family (besides the queen - I liked her).

After this however, I TRULY sympathize with W&K!

Can you imagine having to deal with this nonsense and not being able to set the record straight?

Also, if you are in W’s position, you probably are taught to be very careful with your friendships and who you confide your problems, joys, worries, etc. It is presumed you can trust YOUR brother at least! William was BETRAYED!

She was 35 or thereabouts, Suits was ending, she needed money and a husband and she wanted to be famous and wealthy.

Hilarious!

My husband's reaction to the news about the fight was, "They're brothers, of course they have fights. I had worse-sounding fights with my brother and we get along fine."

The people who are all offended about brothers fighting have never had brothers (or apparently known anyone who did).

The RF sycophants on here are hilarious as well as ignorant of all of the things that family has done that are self-serving, racist, hateful, vindictive to members of their own family. It's laughable, actually. H and M's treatment fits that pattern and is why I believe it. Good for them for giving them the middle finger.

Same. I think a lot of people aren't royal watchers aside from "let's see the wedding dress" are hearing the most recent stuff and think Harry's the good guy.

Royal watchers aren't normal and have to accept that the majority of people aren't enthralled by these people the way they are.

The majority of people I have seen online are like me - not royal family watchers or supporters at all but we started seeing Harry and meghan headlines everywhere = both promoting their stuff and reporting on their stuff and started reading and listening to things. I am sure there are a few ardent RF supporters who don't think the RF can do any wrong but I dont give a fig about the RF and Harry comes across as an immature and petty man. I don't really care about Harry and Meghan either but content on them is being shoved in our faces online 24/7. They are digging their own graves.

Not really. They are online 24/7 right now but give it a week and something else will be there. I don't know these people and they are like any other thing in the media, don't like them, don't care, then click elsewhere, read elsewhere, watch elsewhere. It only takes a second to change over to something else and never see them again.

I can't help but feel secondhand embarrassment for their decisions. I wonder if they just laid low for the next few months...no media interviews, no book releases or social media or podcast or awards ceremony...maybe they could wipe the slate clean a bit? Show up to the coronation with little pomp and circumstance or releases on what she is wearing or what their travel plans are.

I think after this drama, people would be even more interested in watching them at coronation. Its a vulgar reality show. They are doing better than Kardashians.

They were laying low and still posted nasty things about meghan after the Queen's death accusing her of being demanding and all other sorts of drama when she wasnt even there. They make a lot of money with articles about how terrible of a person Meghan is and this will never, ever change. Harry even stated that their of their own press offices will greenlight bad articles about other family members. How/why is this even allowed to happen? Oddly, the american press has no such stories of Meghan being a horrible human either before Harry or now?

There are stories about her being a diva before Harry. They weren’t worldwide news because no one knew who she was.

Was she being a diva out of her rented, 1 bedroom, garden level Toronto apartment?

Does anyone else agree that when a person does a tell all style memoir it’s because they desperately need money and this is like the last bit of themselves they have to give? The next step of desperation would be doing a sex tape. Given that they are/were royals they shouldn’t have had an expiration date on their popularity and need to sell out so badly so soon. I’m guessing that they have been cut off financially by the family and Harry isn’t capable of being a businessman or a consultant even in name only.

Obviously they live an incredibly expensive lifestyle. Harry said Charles cut him off in the Oprah interview. They could have lived quietly, but still very well, on Diana's inheritance and Meghan's savings, but clearly wanted a more extravagant celebrity lifestyle. Choices.

What will they have left to sell after this? Harry has already sold the family secrets at 38 and lowered his brand by doing so. This money isn’t going to last their lifetime.

Didn’t they already get a 100 million from their deals? That should last forever.

Not really. First of all, most in the industry seem to think that the $100 million was the total potential value of their deals, not cash up front.

Further, at their age, the most you could take off of $100 million with the expectation that it would last “forever” is around $3 million a year. Maybe $2 million after tax? Between paying for & maintaining their $14 million house, staff, security, designer clothes, private jets, etc, that doesn’t go far. They fired their PR firm — my guess is that they couldn’t afford it.

I mean it could be some massive performance art thing where they are trying to demonstrate how gullible people and the press are. It really is that poorly written. Even if their point was made - I don’t think it would endear them to many.
