Harry's book?
No, he is illiterate

Yes, as long as the library has it.

I don't think I've ever commented on a royal's thread, but what a depressing title. If that's his narrative, it's very sad.

No way. Do not care at all about any whining.

hard pass

Yes - and I dislike the royals, but he’s the only one I am interested in. Apparently he’s donating his advance to various charities.

I won’t read it, but if there’s some juicy tidbit the world gleans from the book, I’ll be interested. Who doesn’t like a little tea?

+1 I'm hoping it will shed a light on how toxic it is to be part of a royal family. I believe most people think being a royal is like being part of a fairy tale when, in actuality, it's very rigid, confining and prescriptive. When you add in the marital dysfunction of his parents and their individual challenges, I think it could be an interesting read. So many memoirs of people who have overcoming hidden adversity are popular, the most recent is probably, I'm Glad My Died, I don't know why this wouldn't be as successful/interesting.

Yes. I think Harry has had an interesting life — replete with tragedies, expectations due to his role as a Royal “spare”, and unprecedented attention from the press — which has bracketed and influenced his well-being in noxious ways. I’m impressed with his efforts to grow, to use his privileges to make positive impacts, and to carve out a meaningful life for himself. I’m interested in learning more about his perspectives and experiences. I do plan to read this book. I haven’t read other works afaik by his co-writer. The only thing that will give me a pause will be if I dislike the writing style. If that happens, this might end up being my second ever audiobook purchase.

I might read it. I remember having all kinds of feelings when he and William put that card addressed to “Mummy” on their mother’s casket. Their enforced stoicism during her funeral speaks to what 12:32 mentioned.

Definitely going to read it, I am so curious to see what he has to say.

I agree! that title packs a punch.

Only if I can get it for free on kindle, using my Amazon free shipping points. Even the title is whining and pathetic. I’m so tired of the two of them.

He didn’t have to be the spare. He could have done something with his life. Couldn’t advance in the military because he couldn’t pass the texts so he had to leave, didn’t go to college, so complaining is his only means of employment.
