Same. I think a lot of people aren't royal watchers aside from "let's see the wedding dress" are hearing the most recent stuff and think Harry's the good guy.

Royal watchers aren't normal and have to accept that the majority of people aren't enthralled by these people the way they are.

The majority of people I have seen online are like me - not royal family watchers or supporters at all but we started seeing Harry and meghan headlines everywhere = both promoting their stuff and reporting on their stuff and started reading and listening to things. I am sure there are a few ardent RF supporters who don't think the RF can do any wrong but I dont give a fig about the RF and Harry comes across as an immature and petty man. I don't really care about Harry and Meghan either but content on them is being shoved in our faces online 24/7. They are digging their own graves.

Not really. They are online 24/7 right now but give it a week and something else will be there. I don't know these people and they are like any other thing in the media, don't like them, don't care, then click elsewhere, read elsewhere, watch elsewhere. It only takes a second to change over to something else and never see them again.

I can't help but feel secondhand embarrassment for their decisions. I wonder if they just laid low for the next few months...no media interviews, no book releases or social media or podcast or awards ceremony...maybe they could wipe the slate clean a bit? Show up to the coronation with little pomp and circumstance or releases on what she is wearing or what their travel plans are.

I think after this drama, people would be even more interested in watching them at coronation. Its a vulgar reality show. They are doing better than Kardashians.

They were laying low and still posted nasty things about meghan after the Queen's death accusing her of being demanding and all other sorts of drama when she wasnt even there. They make a lot of money with articles about how terrible of a person Meghan is and this will never, ever change. Harry even stated that their of their own press offices will greenlight bad articles about other family members. How/why is this even allowed to happen? Oddly, the american press has no such stories of Meghan being a horrible human either before Harry or now?

There are stories about her being a diva before Harry. They weren’t worldwide news because no one knew who she was.

Was she being a diva out of her rented, 1 bedroom, garden level Toronto apartment?

Wait, I thought she was a rich, famous, successful actress when she married Harry? The Meghan defenders can’t keep their stories straight.

In any case, yes, there have been stories from people who worked with her in Toronto.

The media coverage of him being a PEDOPHILE disappeared real quickly didn't it? And still he and his ex wife live on royal property. What the heck does the divorcee Fergie do for the royal family to justify maintianing living off the tax payer dollar on royal property?

No, it didn’t. I saw a story yesterday.

+ 2. The story has never gone away. And where are Brave Harry and The Future Is Female Smegs as far as making statements about Andrew and Ghislane Maxwell? Why have they literally never said a goddamned word about it? Oh they were silent and silenced right? But have all this backfiring smoke for William and Kate? GTFOH.

They are over, and it couldn’t happen to a smugger pair of morons. I love it.

But here's a few more interesting insights from his memoir that you might be surprised to learn:

Prince Harry recalled the moment he wet his pants just hours before he was due to meet Meghan for their first date. The duke said he was out at sea for a racing competition on a boat that didn't have a toilet when the accident occurred.

Writing about the ordeal, he said: "All I cared about was jumping into the water, washing off the pee from my trousers and getting back to London as fast as possible where I was about to start my real race".

Harry, why couldn't you pee into the ocean?

This is ridiculous. Racing boats don’t have heads because they’re trying to save weight, so everyone pees over the side (easier for men than women — sometimes women get a bucket, the contents of which are tossed over the side). I can’t believe even he is that dumb. Did he really go through an entire deployment in the Army and not figure out how to pee in the absence of a toilet?

Jean Malek who directed the Canadian clothing commercial Meghan did in 2016 posted on Facebook "She's definitely the meanest person I've met in my life. Just sayin."

2) Meghan was never cut out to be an obedient princess. She was/is a nice but ambitious and hard working woman with a vision of what she wants out of life, a clear feeling about what she believes is wrong and right, and an unwillingness to compromise herself entirely for anything or anyone. And in the end, this clashed with the institution and doomed her. She was never going to not fight back. And if you admire that quality overall you support her, and if you think she should have been thanking the gods for landing her a prince and keeping her mouth shut as she enjoyed the trappings of the royal life than you hate her.

Meghan thought that the whole institution of the BRF should be bent to suit her because she's so special. And when it didn't, she cried. She was fighting back against what she perceived as slights, but is in fact just reality: you, Meghan, are NOT as important as Kate, because hierarchy. And this hierarchy will not change based on how fabulous or glamorous or popular you are. That's why they get priceless art and you get IKEA. Both of you live in places you do not own and never will.

I mean I think your read is incredibly oversimplified and reduces her to a caricature of a human being. I think any American introduced so abruptly into the institution would struggle greatly. Kate spend YEARS going through royal training while dating and breaking up with Will to be able to tolerate all the indignities with grace and a smile. She was literally being groomed since childhood for it. All of the british royals are, and they're all pretty screwed up!

Meghan had a difficult time with it but the real difference between her and the rest of them is that she just hadn't been taught to suppress it, smile and not talk about it or show it in any way shape or form no matter what anyone does or says to you.
And I say that with EMPATHY for Kate Middleton and Diana Spencer and Camilla and Fergie and Beatrice and Eugenie and Margaret and Anne. It is a brutal world, gilded, but brutal.

But Meghan HAD been offered advice and mentorship on the Windsor way, and she declined. It's not like she was thrown into it headfirst, she chose to dive in despite warnings. Don't you think it's a special kind of arrogance to think you already know all there is to be known, and you know better?

She was thrown in headfirst! This happened over months! Kate went through literal YEARS of blowups, trainings, retreats, breakups, reconciliations, more blowups etc before she was married in. Acting like something that took Kate YEARS to learn was something she could fully understand after a few months, with a MUCH larger press spotlight (Kate went through this before the 24/7 news cycle) is just unfair.

No. She volunteered. Kate and William lived quietly in the country for a few years after they married, doing very little and acclimating to married life. No one forced Meghan to rush into active royaling. She and Harry could have done the same for a few years, got babies out of the way and then started doing engagements. In fact, Sophie would have probably advised her to ease into it, not rush. Why would Meghan decline any mentorship?

Because she and Harry dreamed of changing the world; she is a doer and she wanted to make a splash. Type A.

And one of her first acts of female empowerment and advancing women was denigrating her post partum sister in law for being hormonal? Some ally she turned out to be. And what have they done lately for anyone but themselves?

Well, they do volunteer work and hire photographers to record their work. Oh, and at last public accounting, Archewell had $50k in its accounts.

So when do they shove off to the Bahamas Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII style because nobody wants to talk to them anymore?

So was this book ghost written or no? The excerpts are poorly written…like a bad romance novel or an essay from a 13yo future English major.

LOL right that's why they gave her a million dollar wedding. Took her on engagements with the Queen. Gave them choice tours. Meghan would have been embraced in good time if she made any effort to understand her new role.

+1 I think it was a $30M wedding. Look, Meghan is brilliant and a hard worker. She is also an emotional mess. Just look at the interviews - she was always in charge. It made the BRF uncomfortable. Most people can’t handle a strong woman, and that is certainly how she presents herself. Total driver personality.

There's no evidence she's brilliant or a hardwork (unless you consider hardworker in terms of her obsessive need to get the last word and clapback).

Definitely not ghost written. It’s so bad it has to be Harry’s.

He is. The Royal Family covered that for years, but he's too dumb to realize they were protecting him.

Chelsy and Cressida are rich heiresses, they had better options. It was not the Royal life, it was Harrold, he was an ass to both women.

IDK. Will also was keen to marry a blonde aristochick and dumped Kate multiple times to try to get with them, but they didn't want a Royal life and yes, had other options. Both boys were basically going to have to marry commoners who viewed the marriage as a big step up. I don't see Harrold as being an ass unless you apply the same to William who was roundly rejected.

He finally "did the right thing" after being told to shit or get off the pot.
