Nats World Series ticket costs?

Anonymous
If (when??) the Nats go to the World Series, any ballpark (HA!) estimates of ticket prices? I'd love to take my son, but fear the potential prices. We're not SPH/didn't buy tickets to any of the post-season games so no shot at the pre-sale

Thanks.

Probably in the $700-$1000 per ticket on the resale market.

Presale tix went on sale this morning at 10 (had to be a season ticket holder or have bought a playoff ticket directly from the Nationals) to have access. Those prices were a couple hundred, so I could see resale easily being twice that.

Just reread your OP. Sorry for the duplicate info.

We went to last nights game and it was pretty cheap - $150/ticket purchased the day before. I think WS prices will be higher if its the Yankees rather than the Astros. $500+ is a good guess.

How did you access that? We bought playoff tix from the Nationals and didn't get a notice and I don't see it on their website.

Ha! I'm an old baseball fan and I know well but I have never seen the Nats look as good as they do right now and have for the last month. Cards looked defeated yesterday. Of course, I have tickets for Game 5 so there will be a silver lining if we lose tonight.

And I grew up a Braves fan so very used to disappointment in baseball!

The Nats do look good. I just vividly remember that season. We never thought it could happen--considering no team in North American sports had ever come back from a 0-3 hole in a 7 game series--but then it happened. I hope it doesn't happen for the Nats this year, but I just felt the need to remind people that it isn't impossible.

World Series tickets tend to get really expensive--major jump up in price on the resale market from the earlier rounds of playoff games. We tried to go a few years ago and the price jump was too much to justify.
