No - nothing - but did buy some single game tix during the season and post season. It sounds like those mini plan people got an email but not use single game people. |
I went last night and it was great but the series clinching wild card was really up there. Only downside of that game was that I thought we were going to lose for the first 8 innings. |
Yeah I think I will! |
| Is there going to be a public sale? I’m sure the tix will sell out in seconds but figure I’ll try. |
Sorry for the confusion. The initial email came yesterday saying the presale would start today at noon. Then this morning around 10:00am, I got another email with the instructions on how to buy the tickets. The link went live at noon - I bought my tickets within 5 minutes. I have purchased a mini-plan for the past three years. My co-worker, who does not have a mini plan but did buy NLCS tickets, did not get the email and instructions. |
| Tickets will not be avail for public sale. |
That would be bullshit. |
Nope I even got an email from the Nats saying tickets probably will not make it to the public (of course they were also trying to persuade me to buy season tickets....). Too many people who qualify for the presale or sponsor groups, etc. It’s far worse in other cities. We are newbies here in DC lol. Shades of fame 5 2012 going on right now. Cmon Nats! |
Why? The plan holders should be able to use their seats, and then the partial and multi-game ticket holders. You know, the ones who have supported the team for years. Check on StubHub, there will be tickets available, but why do you think you are entitled to public sale tickets? |
DP but where do all those stub hub tickets come from anyway? Devoted fans who’d rather make a quick buck than go to the game? Will be lots of rich people there that’s for sure. |
| PS we were previously plan holders and still attend multiple games per year. It’s a pretty privileged existence to be able to attend dozens of baseball games per year. Fun but privileged. |
We went to multiple games a year from RFK until we moved out of state two years ago... I’d say watching 100+ games of baseball each year on TV is a pretty high level of support. We just want to drive back to DC and see them in the World Series! Pretty sure those tickets on Stubhub marked up like crazy belong to plan members looking to make some $$$. |
DP. I get where you’re coming from, but do you really think you have some greater claim to priority than the people who have already been putting up a lot of money to regularly show up in person for games?. |
| I am in a season ticket group that has been a group since the park was built and we haven’t gotten any email. So far for the playoffs we’ve been given first dibs on our 4 seats, plus the right to buy 4 additional seats. I will be so mad if we don’t have the right to at least get our own seats. |
| The Nats sell tickets at sub-market rates to their season ticket holders to encourage people to invest in the team year after year. They could double ticket prices, make them all available straight to the public and still sell out all of the games, but they don’t because they know their real profit center isn’t World Series tickets, it’s season plans. |
