I purchased an NLCS ticket, but it was for Wednesday and the game wasn't played. I didn't get the email.

Just got mine too....and I was worried as I never got to use my NLCS ticket
|
| I had tickets for Wednesday, and just received my notice about tomorrow's ticket sale. Check your spam folder. |
|
I just got an email to register for a lottery system. Sale will be on Saturday if your name is drawn to get tickets. If it is you have the right to buy 2 tickets to each game.
Season ticket holders have the right to buy their seats as well. |
That is different the pre-sales for Season ticket holders...and folks who bought NCLS tickets. |
I know. Just letting people know there are different ways to buy tickets before they get robbed buying on stub hub. Go Nats. |
| How do you enter the lottery if you’re not a season ticket holder or NLCS tix? |
DP but yes they are different things- our NLCS tickets were purchased via DH's account so he got an email about tomorrow's presale, whereas I got an email about the Fan Club lottery. I have to say I think the Nats are going about this the right way- give first dibs to season ticket holders but then give chances to other fans who have suppoted the team as well rather than just releasing the remaining to the general public. A slim chance of getting tickets tomorrow but a chance nonetheless! |
I am not sure how I became a member of the Nats Fan Club but apparently I am. I have bought Nats tickets via the nats/mlb website for years, have the app, have Nats as my favorite team on the app. The email says because I am a member of the Nats Fan Club I can enter the lottery system. I am actually already a season ticket holder, but sometimes I have had to buy extra tickets for when we bring other people (like my kids' birthday parties). So then I've bought via mlb.com. I have tons of people reaching out to me asking if they can have our season tickets for the World Series (no) but I am entering the lottery to help my sister get tickets. Who knows if we will get selected. |
Same with me...not a season tickets holder but I have an account on mlb.com and I've bought tickets there...mostly for playoffs. |
I got it too. Mine is for a 10 am presale on Friday. It says we can buy 2 tickets for each of the games, which is interesting. I figured it would be for one game (we only went to one NLCS game). I'm guessing chances are low there is much left. So if the Nats are restricting resale for season tix, etc. who is selling all these tickets on stubhub? |
Seriously...I'm assuming season ticket holders. I guess they have earned the right but for something as special as a World Series - I wish it was more egalitarian. THere was another thread about how scalping drives up the tickets but you have to show your ID per ticket - just like airlines. I also wish the Nats would offer more options on season tickets. Again, like the airlines - frequent visitor points - the more you have the more chance you have of getting playoff tickets. That would help increase #of tickets sold during the regular season while rewarding the loyal fans. Sigh.. |
I didn't know there was a restriction for reselling for season tickets. I am a season ticket holder in a group, we just have an agreement among ourselves we won't resell them. But I am not aware of a restriction by the Nats. Usually on the app you can forward your tickets. I do know that during the playoffs you couldn't send your tickets to will call like you can during the regular season. |
According to the language on the Nats’ website, it sounds like tickets do not have to be used by the purchaser: Will Call drop offs cannot be accepted for the Postseason. If you are transferring your tickets to a third party, please make arrangements to deliver the tickets in advance. You can use the MLB Ballpark app to easily scan and forward your tickets, access Nationals Park information, use interactive features, read exclusive content and more! |
| We got the email, too, after not being able to use our Wednesday tickets. I'm super disappointed, though, b/c we had tickets for the whole family and now we have to decide if we are going to make 1 person miss it. I wish we could buy the same number we had before. |
