I've been cutting way back on portions and cutting out junk like flavored lattes, processed foods, and simple carbs. This initially worked well but I feel like I've had the last 5 lbs to lose for weeks now.
Here's what I've been eating: Breakfast: Ezekiel English muffin with natural peanut butter and about 1 cup fresh berries Lunch: small sized wrap sandwich with sprouted grain wrap filled with 2 Tbls hummus and raw veggies OR an arugula salad filled with veggies and some avacado or feta cheese and oil and vinegar. Always have an apple with lunch Dinner: lean meat and vegetables or a small portion of vegetarian chili or lentil soup Sometimes no snack sometimes a low sugar Greek yogurt I do drink 2-3 cups of coffee with half and half per day. I feel like my calorie intake is already pretty low and I work out 3-4 times per week. |
| What’s your height and weight? |
5'5" 130 |
| Honestly you might be eating too little. I’d crank up the protein. |
|
It doesn't sound like you need to lose weight and you are probably eating too little anyways.
Focus more on enjoying life than caring so much about something that really doesn't matter at all. |
| Too much fat and sugar breakfast |
| Too much fat in your diet |
| I’m 5’5 and would love to be 130. Sounds like your body is where it needs to be. The number on the scale doesn’t equate to health and perfect beauty. How do your clothes fit? |
| Intermittent fasting might get you over the hump. No snacks at night. Cut things off right after dinner and delay breakfast and just have black coffee in the morning before the meal. |
I haven't been eating after dinner. Is intermittent fasting where you skip breakfast and only eat between 11-7? I could possibly do this, though breakfast is my favorite meal and skipping it would mean I won't get a chance to eat until 12 or 1. Which will be hard |
True my body does like this weight. I was 135 and could pretty much eat whatever I wanted within moderation. Droppong the first 5 was super easy but this last 5 doesn't want to budge. Yes this is purely for vanity, but 125 is still a reasonable and healthy weight for my height. |
| This is likely your idea weight. I am facing the same issue. Would love to be 5lbs less and I do get there with work outs, but as soon as I eat a bit more it comes back. This might be your body telling you, absolutely not. If you go with less calories you might mess up your metabolism. How much do you work out? That would help, imo. |
| Try switching out the english muffin for oatmeal. Put the peanut butter in the oatmeal. |
And lose the berries. |
